I've purchased the enigma air. Your very first picture is the configuration that I have. Can I have the glass on the right side by wall opening to the left and the two stationary panel perpendicular to each other on the left? This works very well for me.

Asked by: Stan teskac
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The Enigma Air is reversible, but the order of the panels must remain the same. The moving panel has to close into the return panel on this model. The order of those panels cannot be altered. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please contact a DreamLine PreSales Consultant at 866.282.8413. I would like to install this on my shower but one of my walls is not plumb.  I have about a 1/4 inch every 3 feet of being unplub on the 36 inch side.  Can I use this? Do you sell a thicker molding for this?

Asked by: EMGEMG
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The Enigma Air requires plumb walls. We do not sell any thicker molding or filler for your sitre conditions. You may want to look at the Enigma Sky. That model accommodates up to 1/4" per side for out of plumb conditions. Model #SHDR-6548760 If you have any other questions, please contact a DreamLine PreSales Consultant at 866.282.8413. Can the door be configured to open on either side of the 48" side? I see in the two examples, the part of the door that opens is always towards the shower enclosure corner (glass to glass). I would like to have it open against the wall on the 48" side.

Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The Enigma Air is not able to be reversed in the way that you would like it to be. The moving panel must close against the return panel. The Enigma-X is able to be reversed, however. If you have any other questions, please contact a DreamLine PreSales Consultant at 866.282.8413. What is the difference between the Enigma Air and the X, other than the square top guide bar and the U channels on the sides? Are they equal quality? Is one easier to install than the other? What base do you recommend for the Air (right drain, 34 x 48)?

Asked by: paul97
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The differences between the Enigma Air and the Enigma-X are purely design differences. The Enigma-X has been in the DreamLine product line for many years and the Enigma Air is a new design of the same model. They are absolutely equal in quality and function, with 3/8" thick tempered glass and stainless steel hardware. The Enigma Air hardware has a little less of a presence than the Enigma-X hardware, but both are beautiful in person. For a 34" by 48" shower enclosure, you will need a 36" by 48" shower base, however. We recommend that the base depth be appx. 2" larger than the depth of the shower enclosure, which in this case is 34". The model number for the shower bases are DLT-1036481(left drain location) or DLT-1036482(right drain location). Was the Clear Max coated only on one side of the glass or on both sides of the glass? thanks!

Asked by: FeFe
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The ClearMax protective coating is applied to both side of the panels on the Enigma Air shower enclosure. Can I use this enclosure with the slimline dreamline single threshold 34" x 48" base? Or does it have to be a double threshold base?

Asked by: JChrisJ
Thank you for your interest in DreamLine Shower Doors! A shower enclosure requires a double threshold shower base. A single threshold shower base would not be compatible with this shower enclosure. DreamLine shower bases will always be larger (approximately 2 in.) than the corresponding DreamLine shower enclosures. DreamLine shower bases are installed direct to studs. The SlimLine double threshold shower bases that would be compatible with this 34 3/4" D x 48 3/8" W enclosure are DLT-1036481 for a left hand drain location or DLT-1036482 for a right hand drain location. Can you make the side wall on left but the door on right?

Asked by: Pavlin
Thank you for your interest in DreamLine Shower Doors! The DreamLine Enigma Air is reversible for a right or left door opening installation. However, the panel configuration will not change. The sliding door will always close up against the Return Panel. Unfortunately, it cannot close up against a solid wall. Again, thank you for contacting DreamLine Shower Doors!
