UnidoorLux Shower Door is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Door at a great price This Dreamline Shower door looks beautiful and well worth the extra time spent in prepping the walls for plumbness and support. We did a lot of research and reading up on this before prepping the walls. The installation manual was readily available online which helped in our planning and construction. Installation was fairly easy. Just my husband and i were able to get in installed in a day. I love the sleek clean open feel it gives our bathroom . It truly is a beautiful door and looks way more expensive than it actually is. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks and works great! What can I say? It sets off our tile shower better than I expected. Friends and family respond with "wows" and "I want one". Finish and operation were flawless and it came with a good set of instructions. I am a commercial carpenter with 30 years experience and your recommendation of professional installation is valid. It takes a lot of focus and near perfect execution to install. Comments: You state that there is no adjustment in width. Stating that the opening tolerance (IMO) is +- 1/16" would be more helpful. Your instruction to use the 5/8" shipping spacer to set height works but verifying the amount of side slope on the threshold could be important. The sweep contacts the outside (higher side) first and excessive cross slope could cause it to drag and inhibit closing. Not a problem for me but I did notice this potential issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great customer service! The wrong size door was ordered through Overstock. To exchange the door was not an easy or accommodating process, but the team at Dreamline did assist me. I drove to the warehouse and happily received a better fitting door. Thank you. Here's pics of my new bath with a sharp looking Dreamline door!

Can the door swing wither direction? I want my door to be on the right side of the shower and to swing inward.

Asked by: cdmccurdy34
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine! The Unidoor Lux is completely reversible allowing the moving panel to be installed on either the right or left wall. The Unidoor Lux features DreamLine's adjustable hinges that can be set to open inward. You will need to position the anti water strip on the stationary panel so that the flange is on the outside, should you decide to adjust the hinges to open inward. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. We are available 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm EST and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. My shower opening is 57 5/8 inches. Will the 58" model shower door fit this opening?

Asked by: Monica
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The Unidoor Lux shower door is one of DreamLine's most size specific shower doors and your opening must be a whole number for it to fit. In this case, your finished opening will need to be 58" and your walls must be plumb. With an opening size of 57-5/8", you have several options. First, we offer the Unidoor, SHDR-20577210, that will fit an opening anywhere between 57" and 58" wide. The stationary panel does have a wall profile that hold it in place and you will need to choose between a support arm or glass shelves for that panel. The next option is the Unidoor Plus shower door which offers 1/2" of width adjustment. If all of your finished measurements are between 57-1/2" and 58" at the top, middle and bottom of your opening, you will need model# SHDR-245757210. The Unidoor Plus features a stationary panel that is installed in a U-channel and does not require any other source of support. The moving panel is installed exactly the same way with all of these Unidoor models. The difference lies in the way the stationary panel is installed and the amount of width adjustment available in the model. We hope this information is helpful in your decision making process, but if you have additional questions, help is just a phone call, email, or chat away to DreamLine's Customer Support Group. DreamLine's Customer Support Team can be reached by phone at 866-731-2244 or by email at support@dreamline.com. We are available M-F from 8am-7pm EST and Saturday from 9am-5pm EST. The finished opening of our shower is 58 ⅛ inches.  Will the 58 inch model fit? Is ⅛" too wide to add to the gap between the door and the fixed panel?

Asked by: jgalvin
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The Unidoor Lux you have referenced is designed to fit an opening 58" wide. The extra 1/8" that you have with your opening will mean that you should use the included hinge spacers behind the hinge plate. This can give you the extra 1/8" that you need for installation and to make the space between your panels acceptable. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. We are available 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm EST and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. You may also send an email to support@dreamline.com. Why does the hinged side not need an arm for stability, while the fixed side does need the arm? Is this arm really necessary? Can I install this door without the arm?

Asked by: DonnaW
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The hinged side does not have a support arm because it is attached to the wall with very sturdy hinges and must be able to move. The stationary panel is held in place by very secure brackets, but was designed to require the support arm, so it must be installed. The Unidoor Lux is also available with DreamLine's new L-bracket, which you may like better. The model number for that model is SHDR-23537200. It is available in all 4 finishes. Take a look at both models to see which you would like better. Please enlarge the photos on your monitor or tablet to clearly see all of the design features of the Unidoor Lux. We can assure you that if you choose the support arm model or the L-bracket model, you will have a secure installation. If you have any other questions, DreamLine's Customer Support Team can be reached by phone at 866-731-2244 or by email at support@dreamline.com. We are available M-F from 8am-7pm EST and Saturday from 9am-5pm EST. We are also available through LiveChat on our website, dreamline.com. Please contact us and we can help you through any issue. Can this be installed such that the door swings into the shower? It looks as if the seal between the panel and the door could be installed on the door instead of the panel and allow for this configuration.

Asked by: BigE
Thank you for your question. The Unidoor hinges can be adjusted to open inward and outward as they are 180° hinges. If you want the door to open inward only, you must place the flange of the side strip that is on the stationary panel on the outside of the shower door. If you want the door to open outward, install the strip on the stationary panel as per the instruction manual. If you want the shower door to open inward and outward, you will not be able to install the flanged side strip and may experience leaking. This applies to single panel Unidoor Shower Door with the L shaped strip, also. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact our DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866-731-2244 or via email at support@dreamline.com. We are available 8am to 7pm EST, Monday through Friday and Saturday 9am to 5pm EST. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine.

How wide is the entry door itself? Is that size customizable?

Asked by: Curious
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The Unidoor Lux in the size that you referenced has a moving door panel that measures 23" installed. DreamLine's Custom Glass Group is able to make many of our products in custom sizes, however. You would need to work with your retailer and have them submit an email to customglass@dreamline.com with your finished measurements and requirements clearly stated. Our Custom Glass Group will return a quote to your retailer within 1-2 business days for you to review. What is the maximum clear opening size for this unit. My opening will be right around 61" after the tile is installed. Will this door work in that opening?

Asked by: Ben B
This is a great question. DreamLine strongly recommends that you wait until you have finished, tile-to-tile measurements before ordering any shower door. The UnidoorLux is one of our most exacting shower doors and your opening measurements must be a whole number and your walls must be perfectly plumb. Please wait until your tile is up and measure. If you have any other questions regarding measuring and door sizing, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866-731-2244 or via email at support@dreamline.com. We are available 8am to 7pm EST, Monday through Friday and Saturday from 9am to 5pm EST. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!

why do some of your doors, like this one, have a metal "arm" whereas others do not? Which would you recommend for maximum stability (no in-out travel) or stationary door? thank you, -nikita

Asked by: nikita
Thank you for your inquiry! The necessity and difference between the support arm and shelves is due to the way that door was engineered for stability of the stationary panel. Either the support arm or the glass shelves are used as a source of support for the panel. Some of our doors, such as the Unidoor Plus, have been designed and engineered in such a way that neither the support arm or glass shelves are needed for support. Please enlarge the photos on your computer and look closely at the doors before choosing the right door for you. If you have any other questions or would like to discuss this further, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. We are available 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm EST and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. You may also send an email to support@dreamline.com.
