Rated 5 out of 5 by from Take my advice!!! Let me start my saying that my bathroom remodel has been filled with problems! My contractor, while a nice person, measured incorrectly and we ordered the wrong sized door. Take my advice! Wait until your tile is up before you measure for any glass shower door! I was heartbroken that the door didn't fit. Luckily I purchased it locally and after about 20 minutes talking to a DreamLine customer service rep, I ordered a door that they assured me would fit perfectly....and it did! The best part of the whole remodel was walking in and seeing that shower door in place!

Can I get this door in the 3 piece alcove shower KIT? 3/8 THICKNESS?

Asked by: KennyMc
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. DreamLine has a shower base and acrylic wall kit that will work with a Unidoor shower door. The Acrylic kit is a 32" by 32" shower base (center drain location) with the DreamLine Acrylic Wall system. The model number for the kit is DL-6195C01. You can place that model number in the search field above and it will come up for you. Keep in mind that your base is installed to the studs, then backer board is installed to the top of the tile flange on the base. Last, you acrylic walls will be installed. This will leave you with an opening of appx. 30-1/2", which means that a Unidoor model SHDR-20307210-01 would most likely work for you. We strongly recommend purchasing the base and acrylic walls first and installing them. After installed, measure your finished opeing for your shower door, then place your order for that. The Unidoor does have some flexibility in width range for installation, so as long as your finished measurements fall between 30" and 31", the model number I referenced will work for you. We invite you to contact our DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866-731-2244 to discuss this further. We can also be reached by sending an email to support@dreamline.com and through our LiveChat feature on DreamLine.com. Our hours of operation are 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday and Saturday from 9am-5pm EST. Thank you for considering DreamLine!

Your Elegance Pivot Shower Door in width 27-29 shows a walk-in opening of only 19 1/2 in but it does not have an inline panel. The adjusting frames should not be that big. Where does all that door loss go or is this a misprint.

Asked by: David Collins
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The access width is taken from the pivot point of the door to the end of the moving panel. This is measurement is not a misprint. DreamLine takes into account all of the hardware and spacing when supplying measurements. Hope this is helpful. I need a 36X72 shower door, but do not want to have to drill down into my granite threshold. I do have studs in the walls where the door will be installed and would prefer a pivot door. To avoid having to drill...which door would I need, a hinged or pivot

Asked by: Nancy Ritter
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. Any door that has a stationary panel is going to require that the stationary panel hardware be installed to the threshold with screws, therefore, drilling will be required. With a 72" span, it is likely that the stationary panel will be at least 30" and it is very important that this large panel of glass be installed safely and securely. We do have customers that install to granite thresholds often, and we recommend that they consult their tile professionals regarding drilling into the threshold. Your tile professional will be able to advise the correct drill bit and procedure for drilling into granite. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. We are available 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm EST and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Does the shower head need to be on the door side like the picture, or can it be on the panel side. Will it seal effectively either way? Mine won't be a rain head like shown. It will be a traditional shower head coming out of the wall at an angle. Thanks.

Asked by: Jwilly
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. Some customers have configurations such as yours that require the shower head to be on the stationary panel side. Installing the door to open outward with the flange of the stationary panel anti-water strip on the inside will go a long way to prevent water from leaking. Do the doors open in as well, or only out? Thank you.

Asked by: Jwilly
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The DreamLine Unidoor shower doors now feature adjustable hinges, allowing you to choose if you would like the door to open inward or outward. The hinges come to you pre-set by the factory to open outward, which is the recommended position. . Should you choose to adjust the hinge to open inward, you will need to change the orientation of the vinyl piece that the door closes against, installing the flange on the outside of the shower. Instructions will be included with the hinge for changing the orientation of the swing. A simple adjustment is all that it takes to allow the door to open inward. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244.
