Unidoor 47 - 55 Hinged Shower Door with Glass Shelves is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good door...finally! Our first door arrived with a blemish IN the glass, so we worked through our large box retailer to order a replacement. In the interim waiting for our replacement, we realized our measurements were wrong!! I quickly called DreamLine cust. service to ask about a fix, The representative was extremely helpful in stopping our original replacement order with a piece that would help resolve our size problem. Door is installed and looks good. The "out of plumb" wall feature was exactly what we needed. The hinges are very nice looking, but I wish the handle was on both sides. When in the shower to close the door there is only a knob to pull on vs an inside handle. Amazing customer service! Would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with our purchase! Very happy with our purchase. Easy to install. Great seal, no issues with leaking (a concern when purchasing). Would recommend!Really A+ customer service. When registering our shower door online, I mentioned something about leaking on the hinge-side of our shower door. I couldn't believe it when a customer service representative (Kelly S.) emailed me right away offering to help fix our issue. Turns out, we were missing a strip on the hinged side (we didn't realize during installation). She asked for photos and was very responsive and helpful. She mailed us the strip at no cost to us and sent us instructions on how to install, as well as photos of the shower door in the showroom. Couldn't be happier with the assistance!Looking for something to cover the holes as we decided not to use the glass shelves. We already have built-in shelves x 2 in our shower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy!! I purchased this door about 2 months ago. I got started late on my installation. Great buy. All quality. No problem with installation except screws for hinges. Rusted, twisted while screwing in. Almost didn't get 3 out. Bought stainless steel at Lowes. I need a water guard for the hinged side. Messed it up. Hard to trim.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Bought this shower door in 2012. The brackets which hold the door loosened and could not be fixed. Called customer service and they promptly replaced the brackets at a reasonably discounted price. They also threw in some bolts which hold the shelves in for free! Items arrived promptly at my doorstep. Thank you Dreamline!

Can this set of doors be installed on a tub

Asked by: CLG2724
You can install a shower door on a tub, but you will need to make sure that 1) you have enough clearance to install the door without hitting your ceiling, 2) you have enough space on your tub threshold to install the bottom hardware for the stationary glass, 3) your tub can support the heavier weight of a shower door, and 4) that you can drill into your tub threshold to install the bottom bracket for the Unidoor stationary glass (this is a requirement for installation that must be adhered to for the unit to be safe for use). If you have any other questions, we invite you to contact our DreamLine PreSales Consultants at 866-282-8413. We can also be reached by sending an email to [email protected] Our hours of operation are 9am-6pm EST, Monday through Friday. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine.

What is the minimum threshold width required? Also how high is the bottom of the door off the threshold? Mine has about a 1/2" tall bump on the outside edge

Asked by: Ryannn
The Unidoor shower door requires 1-1/2" of flat threshold space to secure the bottom bracket hardware for the inline stationary panel. The door glass will come with 5/8" spacers that will be used to set the door glass at the proper 5/8" height above the threshold. If you have a raised bump on the outside edge of your threshold, DreamLine cannot guarantee that the door will clear this obstruction. Also, these types of obstructions will make it so that you cannot use the provided bottom sweep vinyl strip that is supposed to be installed on the bottom edge of the door glass to keep water from coming out under the door. The obstruction on your base would cause the bottom sweep vinyl to bind and/or get stuck, and this would make the door difficult (and possibly not safe) to operate. All DreamLine products require the threshold to be smooth and flat. If you have any other questions, we invite you to contact our DreamLine PreSales Consultants at 866-282-8413. Are the glass shelves and mounting hardware for them sold with the door, or do we buy them separately?

Asked by: dennis375
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. Since the glass shelves for this model are required for installation (to help support the stationary panel), you will receive them and the mounting hardware for them with the door and you will not have to purchase them separately. If you have any other questions, we invite you to contact our DreamLine PreSales Consultants at 866-282-8413. Do i have to install glass shelves or can i juat cap them off?

Asked by: Romo72
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The glass shelves are a source of support for the stationary panel and must be installed for the integrity of the installation. our opening is 58". we bought SHDR245757210-04. we followed directions to the "T" but yet there is a 1" gap between the doors, not the 1/16 - 1/8 inch the manual recommends. why did this happen? walls are almost perfectly plumb and square.

Asked by: mark abby
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. It sounds as if either your finished opening is larger than 58", or the stationary panel was not adjusted correctly for width. We invite you to contact our DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866-731-8378 to discuss this further. We can also be reached by sending an email to [email protected] and through our “Chat with Expert” feature on DreamLine.com. Our hours of operation are 8am-6pm EST, Monday through Friday. Does the swing in and out?

Asked by: Cathy3521
The Unidoor hinges come to you pre-set from the factory to open outward (which is the recommended position), however, the DreamLine Unidoor Family of shower doors now feature adjustable hinges which allow you to choose if you would like the door to open inward, outward, or both inward and outward. Should you choose to adjust the hinge to open inward, you will need to change the orientation of the vinyl piece that the door closes against, installing the flange on the outside of the shower. Please note that changing the orientation of the strip can result in leaking. Also, adjusting the hinge so that it swings both inward and outward will mean that you will have to remove the vinyl strip completely and this can also result in leaking. Instructions will be included with the hinge for changing the orientation of the swing. A simple adjustment is all that it takes to allow the door to open inward. If you have any other questions, please contact a DreamLine PreSales Consultant at 866-282-8413. My shower door does not have the Clear Mark label on it that I can see. The instructions are telling me to make sure the side marked with this label faces inside the stall. How can I tell which side is which?
