Infinity-Z Sliding Shower Door is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 67.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Quality, Great Price We have installed shower doors before many times - usually whatever is available at Home Depot or Lowe's. Now that we have this one installed, it looks great, functions well - happy with it. My one criticism would be the instructions. When they describe how to measure for cutting the guides, they fail to mention that you need to add the length of the guide to the width of the two glass profiles to determine how much to cut off. The instructions are very unclear about that. Once we figured it out, other than the fact that we had a small space to work in, it went in pretty easily and it looks great. And we don't think you'll get a better price for this quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Contemporary Look, Great Value We embarked on building a bathroom in our basement - a first for us. After exhaustive reading of shower door reviews, the Infinity-Z appeared to be the clear winner. A big part of our decision came from reading that customer support was readily available - this could be important for a DIY project. Not having previous experience to compare to, the installation went smoothly for us - no need to contact customer support. It was definitely a 2-person job for us novices. The finished product is a very attractive door that glides smoothly in it's track without any escape of water. We are very happy with our selection of this door.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shower installation easy enough for a DIYer. I purchased this shower unit to replace one that was damaged during a shower flood. The unit looks good as the finished product. However, during the assembly phase, I found that the instructions were a little vague in the written step versus the picture. For instance, the panel stop tabs were only shown in a picture and not clarified with written copy. Also, The instructions for caulking the frame come one page later than the instructions to mount the frame to the shower. One other observation, when the length of the top and bottom rails are cut, the screw ho9les loose their strength in that they spread when a screw is inserted. The top rail is not tight against the glass frame.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just right enclosure I've had this unit installed for about a year now. It still looks good and was fairly easy to install. I needed a couple of the rollers replaced and they sent me out a complete kit to replace them all. The replacement parts looked better than the original. I would suspect that they have upgraded those parts which is a plus for this unit. I expect to have it in place for some time to come. I think anyone who buys this unit will be pleased with it

Any problem with glass shattering?

Asked by: Judy69
DreamLine shower doors are made of high-quality tempered safety glass which is a very strong and durable material. When any tempered glass product shatters, there is always a cause, and the most common causes are improper installation and improper use. When installed and used correctly, there should not be any reason for the glass to simply break on its own. The Infinity-Z is one of DreamLine's longest-standing, tried & true, best-selling models. We sell thousands of this model each year that are used daily without issue. If you have any other questions, we invite you to contact our DreamLine PreSales Consultants at 866-282-8413. We can also be reached by sending an email to [email protected] Our hours of operation are 9am-6pm EST, Monday through Friday. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine.

How wide is the gap between the two panes of glass? Is it narrower than the Sapphire or Encore which seem huge?

Asked by: PeterBxyz
The Infinity-Z shower door only requires 1" of threshold space for the bottom rail, so the gap between the 2 pieces of glass is relatively narrow compared to the Sapphire and Encore models (less than 1"). Can I get a shower door72 inches wide

Asked by: Skylight specialist
Unfortunately, the Infinity-Z cannot be customized in any way and the maximum width that it is available in is 60". DreamLine has other models that will fit 72" and we invite you to contact our Pre Sales team at 866-282-8413 to discuss some options. My finished wall to wall opening is 42.75" width, should I buy this Infinity-Z 44-48" W x 72" H shower Door? If not, please show me the different door size and model. Thank you so much.

Asked by: NhuL
An opening of 42-3/4" will be too small for the 44-48" Infinity-Z model. At this width, your walk-in entry will likely be too small for an average size person to fit through comfortably. Unfortunately, DreamLine does not have any sliding door models that are designed for a 42-3/4" opening. We offer plenty of other styles for this width, just nothing with sliding doors. I have purchased the Infinity-Z (SHDR-0960720-04) to install over a Mansfield Nextile shower panel. The 4.0 x 55 screws for attaching the vertical rails leave me approximately of 3/8 inch bite into a stud. Gap between stud and shower wall, your thoughts

DreamLine products are designed for installation to solid walls. If you have a void behind the acrylic wall, this is not a solid wall and we would recommend not proceeding with installation as installing any DreamLine product to this type of site condition will void the warranty. What is the width of the bottom rail of the dreamline infinity z sliding door?

Asked by: Larry65
The bottom rail for the Infinity-Z is 1" wide so to be able to properly install the bottom rail for the Infinity-Z, your threshold will need to be at least 1" wide (front-to-back).
