Flex Pivot Shower Door & Base is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from very happy so far This was pretty easy to install. The only thing that took me by surprise was how hard my porcelain tile was, so it made drilling the screw holes very difficult. I burned up two masonry bits and a diamond one (nothing to do with the door). The door looks great and works well, and I have no water splashing out as a couple of other reviews said. It opens and closes nicely, although a little noisy (not like the quiet ping of a thick glass frameless) But the price was very good and worth the small trade off.My wife and I are both very happy with it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it and saved so much $ We ordered this door for two reasons. We were on a very tight budget for our bath remodel, It was adjustable so the measurements could be a little off and it was very forgiving. Rather than spending about $1500 on a custom glass door we ordered this one. Our handyman was very impressed at how easy it went in. It seems very sturdy. We had a glass installer that came out to replace a window and he was also impressed with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shower Door I bought this door a couple of months ago at Lowe's, to install myself. But, being an old guy, I had a professional come in and do. He did it in about an hour and forty-five minutes. Easy peasy.. I would have done it myself, but the glass door is just too heavy for an ole boy like me to handle by myself:) Nice quality product... Happy so far.. Doug

My alcove shower opening is exactly, precisely 28"- no more. I'd like to buy the SHDR-22287200-01 Flex Semi-Frameless Pivot Shower Door, 28-32 in Width x 72 in Height, but I'm concerned it could be too tight a fit. What do y'all think?

Asked by: Tim Farrow
The absolute minimum finished width tolerance for this model Flex shower door is 28", so as long as none of your width measurements throughout the opening are any less than 28", this model will fit your space. Please be sure to measure your opening width in several locations (top, middle, and bottom) to be sure. If you have any other questions, we invite you to contact our DreamLine PreSales Consultants at 866-282-8413. We can also be reached by sending an email to support@dreamline.com. Is the Dreamliner Flex Pivot door reversible Can the door be on either side [right or left side] Does shower door come with hardware

Asked by: Geno
NO it is NOT truly a reversible system. Once flipped to become a left hand door and sidelight, you will be stuck with the Dreamline logo and other information that is etched into the glass door and sidelight (typically found at the bottom) - will now be upside and backwards reading and at your line of sight at the top of the door and sidelight. Not to mention the inside handle knob for the door will be at the bottom. Not what was explained when you sign on to buy this system! I just spoke to customer service and after a brief hold, was told, "we have no fix for this". Also, watch out for the "factory trained installers" mine went a little overboard with the silicone caulk and have it smeared onto the Kohler stone wall panels and drywall as well. As for the shower faucet handle, that won't be aligned either. So when the shower faucet to turned off the handle will not point straight down. it will point about 12+ degrees past center right. I called to report all of this the moment the guys were done installing and they sent a new guy to "fix" these things. Overhearing hearing this new guy call his boss to ask how door comes apart does not give you confidence in the "fix" and he chipped the glass on the door trying to figure how to flip it to put the window etching at the bottom where it belongs. They sent the same repair guy out a second time with new door and sidelight so that the etching and handle will be correct and he phones his boss again to ask how to. And after he takes it all apart and brings in the new side light, he discovers the Dreamline logo and other information is still etched in upside down and backwards. Again, my call to costumer service today they told me "we have no fix for those issues".. These Dreamline shower doors and the entire Kohler shower wall system and Kohler faucet cost a lot of money! Be careful folks!

Will this door work with a shower pan that has a lip on the outside of the Threshold?

Asked by: Sethk21
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. Ideally, you want your threshold to be completely flat. The Flex will require 1-3/8" of flat threshold space for the bottom rail to mount properly. The other thing you would have to be concerned about with a lip on the outside of the shower base is the possibility that the lip could interfere with the door opening or could cause the sweep vinyl on the bottom of the door to catch or bind when you open and close the door. Do you have a wall kit for the 32x42 flex pivot door/shower base kit?

Asked by: Albert009
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The product you are viewing is actually the 32x32 Flex shower kit. In this size, there is a kit that would include the acrylic backwall kit, you would just have to change the model # to DL-6217C-01CL. If your question is about the 32x42 size, the model number for that would actually be DL-6219C-01CL and the only acrylic backwall kit we would have for that size is the new QWALL-VS model # SHBW-1548760-00. This QWALL-VS model size states it is for 44-48"(w) x 41-1/2"(s), but these walls can be trimmed to fit the 32x42" shower base. Does the door swing inside and outside the shower?

Asked by: Manoli777
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The Flex is designed to open outward only and the orientation of the swing of that door cannot be changed. DreamLine does make other doors that can open inward, such as the Unidoor line, however. If you have any other questions, please contact a DreamLine PreSales Consultant at 866.282.8413. We are available 9am-6pm EST, M-F and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. You may also send an email to support@dreamline.com or use our “Chat with Expert” feature on DreamLine.com.
