Enigma-X Sliding Shower Door & Base is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Door! The door is wonderful. I love that it is frameless, there isn't a metal track that is hard to clean like on other doors. The glass doors are easy to clean, they don't water spot. I would highly recommend this door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best door on the market This is a beautiful door and shower pan with a look and feel that conveys exceptional quality and easy cleaning. I purchased it last year. It arrived on a pallet that was clearly too small and with visible damage on the outer box. Inspection found the aluminum extrusions inside the box were dented which Dreamline quickly replaced at no charge. My only issue to date is the 2 inch inner seal between the panels. We squeegee and wipe the door dry after every use. The constant flexing of the inner seal by the towel has caused the soft portion to separate from the hard portion (see picture) requiring replacement after just one year. This in no way diminishes my happiness with the product. We’ll order a replacement seal and just use less pressure or blot dry going forward.Installation notes: 1) Plan 1 day to install. As a very experienced DIY guy, I’d rate this door an installation difficulty of 7-8 on a scale of 10, because it's made of very heavy glass and requires moderately complex installation and adjustment within the confines of a shower. 2) The instructions are well written for the complexity of this installation but follow them to the letter. 3) Use bedding compound. Sadly, I previously installed another one of these base pans in another house and did NOT use bedding compound because the base pan has support pads on the bottom. The base pan squeaked terribly on the wood sub floor after several uses. Using an 18 inch long tube, I was able to inject 2-3 cans of rigid spray foam under the installed base pan through small holes drilled through the drywall of the adjacent room and closet. This stopped the squeaking. So on this base pan, I used the bedding compound and had no squeaking at all. 4) Be sure to install the base pan level. The door rail must be installed level so the door remains in the open or closed position when moved. Thus the door will hit a non-level base pan when the door is open or closed. 5) Make sure the left and right walls are square. Unlike framed shower doors with side moldings to accommodating out of square installations, this frameless door does not accommodate more than 3/8 inch out of square before a gap between the door and wall will occur that is too large to adjust out. So be sure the base pan is level as previously described and the left and right walls are square to the base pan ledge within 3/8 inch top to bottom.

What can you do if both walls are out of plumb 3/4".

Asked by: Ted pence
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The Enigma-X shower door must have plumb walls for installation. We do not recommend this shower door for out of plumb conditions. You will need a door with some wall profile to help you with this condition. We would recommend the Infinity-Z shower door for your installation. It offers 1" of out of plumb adjustment on each side, which is what you need. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. Thank you for your inquiry! Part #13 is the Bumper strip and is a clear, vinyl strip with a soft, rounded profile. This strip is placed on the moving panel on the side that closes against the wall. Part #15 is the Anti-splash Threshold and is placed on the threshold of your shower. It acts as a dam, preventing water from rolling out of the shower.
