Rated 5 out of 5 by yardbird from Smart DesignIt is state of the art and looks very contemporary. If you read and get familiar with the parts and the directions (which are very clear) anyone that can read a tape measure and drill a hole and can follow directions can install this product. I followed the directions to the letter and had only one minor set screw adjustment to make.it looks and works great. I was curious as to why the stationary glass panel sits right on the threshold and up against the wall without any kind of rubber bumper strip. but you caulk it anyway so its no big deal. The glass is so heavy and is held at the bottom in two places, so its solid and ain't going anywhere. The door slides beautifully and is not flimsy. The various parts are machined beautifully and look high tech. Do not be afraid to buy this or install it yourself. I saved a good chunk of change by doing it myself, and I had never done one before.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Larry and Karen from Two BathroomsMy wife and I purchased two shower doors from Dreamline. We are very happy with both installations. The directions which come with the unit are not very clear on how to install. I had intended on installing myself. It is a good thing a friend of mine is a professional installer. Both doors look great. One of the doors did have a small imperfection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by City slicker from BeautifulThis is a solid, sturdy shower door. Looks beautiful!Just one word of caution - it takes up almost 4 inches of space in the shower. We have a 30 by 60 shower and with the door installed, we actually have a narrow 26 x 60 shower. Otherwise it's great glides smoothly and we love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Del922 from Excellent product highly recomendDoing a master bath remodel and saw this door at Home Depot. We liked how the hardware looked in our modern design. Install went very easily, only hint is leave the corner protectors on as long as you can when setting the doors and get a few strong friends to help!

Rated 5 out of 5 by FINAL FOUR12 from BEAUTIFUL, SOLID & VERY FUNCTIONALWe have had many positive comments about how beautiful our new Enigma shower door looks. On closer inspection several people have commented about how much they like the one-half inch thick glass. We are extremely pleased that we chose the thicker/heavier model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Spencer from Beautiful, and Largely Made With Great CareThe glass and hardware is beautiful. It is the centerpiece of our bathroom renovation, and appears made to outlast our house. Twice the trim rings on the roller bearings have fallen off, but I've found it is an easy fix.
Where can I get the rail of an enigma sliding door??

I am interested in an ENIGMA (not ENIGMA X) shower enclosure. Is the smallest door 56 inches? That would be fine, but what is the largest side panel available? Your brochure says 36 inches, but is 48 inch available?
Asked by: StevePert
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The 60" Enigma shower door can be adjusted down to 56". Unfortunately, the largest return panel is the 36" that is included in our stock kit. If you would like a 48" return, panel, you would need to work with your retailer and DreamLine's Custom Glass Group to facilitate that. You will need to work with your retailer and have them submit an email to email@example.com with your finished dimensions and shower door requirements. DreamLine's Custom Glass Group will return a quote within 1-2 business days for you to view.
If you have any other questions, please reach out to DreamLine's Customer Support Team at 866-731-2244 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We are available M-F from 8am-7pm EST and Saturday from 9am-5pm EST. Thank you for considering DreamLine.

I have a 60" wide by 48" deep shower stall and need a sliding door for the width opening on the left and one stationary side on the right making an "L" in glass. i do not see this option with the enigma shower door or enclosure. Do you have?
Asked by: Louie
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not offer that size in our core product. We do have a Custom Glass division but they are unable to customize 1/2" glass. If you are interested in the Enigma X, our Custom Glass Division may be able to customize that unit for you. In order to inquire about Custom Glass you will need to go to one of our authorized dealers so they can submit a Custom Glass request for your measurements.

I have a 67 inch opening after hardiebacker and tile will this door fit? it says 68-72 inch opening.
Asked by: cheetah
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. Unfortunately, adjusting the Enigma down to 67" will leave you with a walk-through opening of appx. 19" wide and a larger overlap of the glass. In short, it can be done, but you will need to determine if this walk through opening size will work for you. Some Dreamline doors warn "No adjustment for out of plumb..." Is this a dire warning? Most houses aren't perfectly square.
Asked by: skangirl
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine regarding this important question! DreamLine is very serious when we say that a model has no adjustment for out of plumb. The ability to adjust for out of plumb conditions is only available with shower doors that have some wall profiles or U-channels that attach to you walls. Completely frameless shower doors, such as the Enigma series, are designed with glass panels that are perfectly square and without profiles on the wall. Because of this, it is important that your walls be plumb. You are correct that most houses aren't perfectly square, which is why it is important to check your walls with a 4-foot or 6-foot bubble level before making your shower door selection. DreamLine certainly does not want you to order a shower door that will not work for you. If you are just replacing an existing shower door, your walls may be out of plumb and other DreamLine models may be a better choice for you. If you are remodeling and having backer board and tile replaced, you can certainly show the contractor the shower door you are interested in and point out that the walls will have to be plumb. (Even if he agrees to make them plumb, we would recommend checking the walls with a level when he is finished to make sure they are plumb before ordering.)

Can somebody please explain the difference between Enigma, Enigma X, and Enigma Z, in plain English, not in Marketing speak.
I do notice Enigma has thicker glass.
I also notice slightly different wheels.
But I can't tell which one is "better" and why.
Asked by: dima
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine about this. You are correct that the Enigma is made of 1/2" thick glass, and because of this, it must be installed directly to the floor or on a solid surface, reinforced shower base. The 1/2" thick glass makes this unit a very heavy door. We do not recommend that it be installed on a fiberglass/acrylic shower base. If you have a reinforced shower base, the threshold must be at least 3-3/4" deep. The Enigma also has a metal threshold piece that runs the width of the door that the Enigma-X and Enigma-Z do not have. These are the "mechanical" differences that make the Enigma Shower Door unique. Design-wise, the Enigma features our stainless steel double rollers.
The differences between the Enigma-Z and Enigma-X are hardware design and threshold requirements. The Enigma-Z requires a minimum threshold depth of 2-3/8", while the Enigma-X requires a minimum threshold depth of 2-3/4". We recommend that you enlarge the photos of each of these shower doors to clearly see the design differences in each door, paying special attention to the hardware and rolling mechanism. The Enigma-Z is designed so that the moving panel hangs below the guide rail on "barn door style" hardware. The Enigma-X moving panel is as tall as the stationary panel and has a single roller style.
As far as which is better, all of the units have hardware that is of the same quality that DreamLine has come to be known for. They all feature stainless steel hardware and tempered glass with our ClearMax protective coating. All of the models require that your walls must be plumb and your base must be level. The Enigma does feature thicker glass, but that does not make it better or worse than the Enigma-X or the Enigma-Z. As far as popularity, the Enigma-X is the most popular model among customers. Personally, I like the hardware presence of the Enigma-Z and have that in my home. It really is a matter of what you like and the look you are going for.
If you would like to speak with me further about this, I will be in the office tomorrow from 8am-5pm EST. You can reach me by calling 866-731-2244 and enter 158 when you hear the phone prompts. Your call will be routed directly to my desk. If it is easier, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org and note "DL Q&A" in the subject line. Thank you so much for your interest in DreamLine! I hope I was able to clarify this a little better for you.
