Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The folded portion extends into the shower appx. 17" from the pivot point on the wall. Hope this is helpful. My shower opening is 32.25 inches. Is this door too small or will this door keep water from splattering onto the bathroom floor?

Thank you for your question. The DreamLine Aqua Fold Shower Screen you have referenced measures 29-1/2" wide and will cover that amount of space. This door is meant to be a shower screen and is not designed to span the entire width of your opening. There are many factors that contribute to the possibility of water escaping from the open portion of the Aqua Fold. Water pressure, the angle of your shower head, depth of your shower space, and showering habits all play a role in how much water may escape the open portion. A rainfall shower head could certainly help to avoid some leaking as well because the water is directed straight down.
