I was beside myself after I accidentally shattered the stationary glass panel for my Unidoor-X bathtub door prior to its installation. Imagine the mess made by a 27" x 58" x 3/8" (10 mm) thick, tempered glass pane weighing about 75 lbs.! I fully expected to incur the full and substantial cost of replacing it and started shopping around on line. But I should have started with Dreamline itself. It was worth a long hold time (not their fault...Covid-19 related) because their excellent customer service representative, Nelly, gave me some great news in a troubled time of tight finances. My mouth dropped wide open and I almost cried with joy when Nelly relieved all my worries and made my day, telling me that the GLASS was 100% covered under warranty!! Unheard of because I would have never reasonably expect broken glass to be covered at all! Ever!! Nelly was happy, too, and duly proud. saying, "We take care of our customers." Amen!!! I am still on the hook for shipping costs, as I should be, but in comparison to the worst outcome I expected it rocks!!!! Thanks, Dreamline and thanks, Nelly!

What is the minimum threshold depth?
The minimum threshold depth for the Unidoor-X tub door is 5/8", meaning that your tub curb will need to be at least 5/8" wide for you to be able to secure the bottom u-channels fully to the curb. Can this door be installed at an angle where the hinge panel is straight the door is closed at a 35° angle against another solid glass panel.
Unfortunately, no - this model cannot be installed in the fashion you describe. This unit must be installed between 2 walls and all pieces of glass must be installed in a straight line. Any modifications to the product or to the installation will completely and immediately void the limited lifetime warranty and could compromise the product and make it unsafe for use. Please do not attempt to install any DreamLine product in any way other than what is detailed in the installation manual.

Hi I was wondering if this door can be installed on a fiberglass shower
Unfortunately, no - DreamLine tub doors are not designed for installation into molded acrylic/fiberglass shower surrounds and should not be installed into these types of openings because doing this will void the warranty and compromise the product. All DreamLine tub doors require solid finished walls (no pocket of dead space behind the wall), true 90-degree angles where the wall meets the threshold (corners cannot have a radius or curve), and finished walls that are at least as tall as the shower/tub door or enclosure (so that none of the glass or hardware sticks up above the walls).

Can this be used for shower only, no tub.
The Unidoor-X is available in a 72" shower height and it is available in many different widths. How close could a standard toilet be to the tub and still allow for clearance for the hinged door? Thinking for a hinged door mounted on the right side of the tub/shower with a toilet that is parallel to the tub on the left.
The pivot point for the swinging door on the Unidoor-X tub door is a little more than 7" out away from the wall. Keeping this in mind, from that pivot point, approximately 26" of glass will swing out into your bathroom. Does the door open both ways - inside and outside the bathtub?
The Unidoor model series (including the Unidoor-X tub door model) comes with adjustable hinges. The hinges will come pre-set from the factory for outward swing, which is the recommended use, but they can be adjusted to allow for inward swing or for both inward and outward swing. Are there different styles of pulls offered for the Unidoor models - such as a C shape with rounded edges rather than the mitered edges shown in the photographs?
The Unidoor-X tub door will come with the handle that is shown and we do not have any way of changing the handle out with a different one before your order would ship because everything is packaged together at the factory. Can I make this door to fit a 55" wide tub?
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The DreamLine Unidoor-X tub door is only made in a 58" - 58-1/2" size and will not fit in a 55" opening. This model can be made in custom sizes by DreamLine's Custom Glass Group who would be happy to help you with getting the 55" size you are looking for.
