Rated 5 out of 5 by Vsoho from High end quality at less than box store price This is the second Dreamline Enigma shower door we purchased. I chose it for the style and the 3/8" glass thickness. The first door was the full height shower door, has been in for a year and is flawless. Operates smoothly, all it takes is a quick swipe with a squeegee to keep it looking new. We just updated our second bathroom with the tub height door to complete the house Renovation.We had both professionally installed. It takes two big guys with professional equipment to do this job properly as they were drilling into the marble tiled walls. Worth every penny and still a bargain over custom doors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gerry from beautiful shower/tub frameless glass doors [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] wow, this door is fantastic, it glides with the tap of a finger. it is shiny with heavy, sturdy handles and overhead glide bar. the contractor had absolutely no problem with the installation and remember this is one of the few doors that can be adjusted to width size by altering the width of the glide bar so it allows for some variance. not only would I recommend this door I would buy it again if I needed one. ps: this item was delivered by truck and carried directly into my garage at no extra charge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Natalie S from Quality Product Solid construction. Beautiful design. Loved every part of it as it was being installed - until we got the final stages (attaching plastic parts). The plastic parts that attach to the edges of the doors takes away from the beauty and elegance of the product. In theory, these parts prevent water and air from coming through the doors. (What's interesting, however, is that there's a sizable gap between bottom of the door that moves and the tub allowing plenty of air to flow in/out.) Instructions have some errors in there; thank goodness my installer has a mechanical mind and could figure it out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by INANL from Looks Great! Once the kinks were worked out with missing hardware, and incorrect hardware, the installation went smoothly. The shower doors look incredible and very impressive. I only wish my contractor was as happy as the homeowner. It took much longer than it should have. The shower door is smooth in operation and the quality is very good. It's sturdy and I'd recommend it again, but hope that the hardware is correct.

We have always sourced this out to a local glass company. After installing this door on my own bathroom remodel, I will with out hesitation install this kind of door on my future customer remodels. It takes 2 people to complete the install and a lot of patients and double checking to make sure no mistakes are made. This is not a product you can rush to install.

I have a 54 inch tub, can I install the Enigma X sliding tub door? If not can you recommend a dreamline tub door sliding

Can this model be installed on a cast iron tub

Yes - this model can be installed on a cast iron tub, however, you will be required to drill into the tub for proper installation and there is no alternative installation procedure to safely install the model. You will need to talk to your contractor about drilling the tub for the installation. This model will also require your tub threshold to be at least 2-3/4" wide so that you will be able to install the bottom guide block hardware. Hello, I’m interested in the frameless style tub/shower door.when measuring the height, I measured to the shower head spout, which is 66” from top rail of Tub. Did I measure too high or is there a standard height that you measure up to?

Please make sure your opening meets all the other requirements for this door as well before deciding to make a purchase (walls are solid, wall heights are at least as tall as the door, no curve/radius in the bottom corners where the walls meet the threshold, walls are perfectly plumb - this model has no adjustments or allowances for out-of-plumb walls). At what location do you put the studs or the nailers to support the shower door

What exactly has to attach to the tub? One reason I don't want to frame is I don't want the frame on the top of the wall on the tub because that makes it less comfortable to be in the tub
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The center guide block must be screwed to the tub. There is an anti splash threshold piece that goes across the opening side of the door that is siliconed to the tub. the guide block is the only component that must be drilled to the tub.
