Rated 5 out of 5 by JFerrari from Great shower doors! Very nice quality. The doors slide smoothly and the glass is easy to clean. According to the installer Dreamline coats their doors with a "Rain-X" type coating so the water just beads off, making it easy to keep the glass clean. Very happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by KP from solid build quality with good parts Pro: The aluminum and glass are thick and very solidly made. Virtually no wobble on any parts with plenty of damping all around. Solidly designed product.The mechanism for installing the glass door were a bit worrisome and is definitely a 2 person job. (suggests propping up the top rail with a 1" wooden shim)Contra: The design of the door bars leaves a bit to be desired but can't fault anything else about this product.

I bought mine from Home Depot but accidentally cut the beam too short. I went online then to get help from Dreamline and Kerlynne was extremely helpful and understanding. THANK YOU!

Looking at the Dreamline Encore. The tub is a Wyndham Collection alcove tub. I noticed that the threshold is sloped slightly from the apron side down into the tub. Not much, about 1/8" across the 3" width of the threshold. Will this cause problems?
Any type of tub deck or shower base threshold should be gently pitched in towards the drain and our shower and tub door products have tolerances for this. Can this be installed on a porclean tub
Yes - the Encore can be installed on a porcelain tub as long as the curb/threshold of the tub is at least 2-1/4" wide so the bottom rail will fit completely on the curb/threshold. The Encore tub door does not require you to drill any holes in your tub for installation like some of our other DreamLine tub door models.

Would this model be able to be trimmed to fit 54" width or would it be better to place a custom order for that? This would be between two solid walls. Thanks!
Technically, you can do this, but you will have a smaller walk-in entry and more overlap between the 2 glass panels which can look a little bit less cosmetically appealing. Does this door require studs in which to screw behind the finished wall?
This model does not have a requirement for studs behind the finished wall and you will receive wall anchors in packaging that can be used in applications where a stud is not present behind the finished wall. On the Dreamline Encore, are there knobs or something to grab on the backside of the towel bar? Say for instance if I want to enter the tub from the back, but the outside towel bar glass is forward. Vigo has a knob opposite the handle
There are no knobs on the backs of the towel bars because if there were anything on the backs of the towel bars that protruded too much, the doors would not be able to bypass each other.

Hi, My tub measurements are 55.5 W X 55 H. Will this be a problem for the Encore semi-frameless sliding door? Can the rails for Height be trimmed?
You will not be able to install the Encore tub door in your opening. Your finished width is below the model's minimum width tolerances and you do not have finished walls that are tall enough to support installation. This model requires your walls to be at least 58" in height. You cannot modify the product in any way as this will completely void the warranty and could compromise the product and make it unsafe for use. Also, if your opening is a molded acrylic/fiberglass surround (55" is a common wall height for this type of opening), DreamLine products are not intended for those types of openings. DreamLine does not currently offer any products designed for a wall height of only 55".

Love our bypass glass tub enclosure... is it appropriate to use RainX glass wax on interior? We have much lime in our water.
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. All of our bypass tub door models (including the DreamLine Encore) will already come with DreamLine's patented ClearMax protective coating. DreamLine does not recommend using any chemical treatments such as Rain-X on our product as we have not designed or tested our product with such chemicals. Applying any chemicals to the glass could compromise the product and will completely void the warranty. To keep the glass from getting spots or stains, DreamLine recommends removing any small amounts of residual water from the glass and hardware after each use with a squeegee and/or a soft cloth.
