Rated 5 out of 5 by serissa from High Quality Sturdy Product I remodeled my bathroom in a modern design, and put a high-end dark tile around the bathtub. It was a shame hiding it behind a curtain, so I decided to get a bathtub doors. After searching and looking at ratings, I went with this model. I had it installed by my contractor - it didn't take them a long time at all, however they had to do some adjustment even though my garden bathtub is standard. It looks and feel incredible - very modern, sturdy, great quality of glass and construction around it. One thing to remember - if you have a garden tub for instance that has ridges on top of the tub, there will be space between the tub and the frame. My contractor had to silicon underneath it, but he did a neat job hiding it so wasn't much of an issue.

My contractor installed it and it looks beautiful. I would highly recommend this product. The glass is a terriffic thinkness and I could not be happier!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by luck10 from Dreamline Duet poor design This product looks great in the photos and reviews were good so let me first state the positives. The unit arrived well packaged and nothing was damaged. The glass doors are very sturdy and the towel bars are metal, however the brackets that attach the bar to the door are plastic. Now the negatives. The frame is a very poor design. The problem is the vertical rails. Yes, rails- plural. Whereas the vast majority of shower/tub door frames have one piece side rails, this unit uses two pieces. I understand the concept whereby the wall profile rail is adjustable for situations where the walls are not absolutely square. However, a flange extends into the shower area and the four screws are visible. This ruins the appearance of the doors and makes them look cheap. If the homeowner ever wants to change the doors, he will be obligated to install this same design or there will be holes in the tile that cannot be covered with a new side rail. This wall profile rail also has very sharp corners. The instructions are abysmal. Dreamline help desk said they are in the process of rewriting the instructions. So BUYER BEWARE: What you see in the photo is NOT what the product actually looks like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nomi from High Quality Product “High quality tub/shower door. 3/8" thick glass doors feel substantial. Relatively easy for DIY person to install. Styling is nothing special but quality of components is great. Several reviews on different sites suggest cutting top and bottom rails -2 3/8" versus -2 1/4" as per instructions. After my installation, I would definitely recommend -2 3/8" or -2 1/2". At -2 1/4", you will smear your silicone bead and make installation harder than it needs to be.” Can't say enough good things about Dreamline. I had an issue with a chipped glass door which was resolved extremely fast with no issues.

This door delivers value - it's heavy weight and stunning once installed - the only comment to note is the many parts vs directions - seems that could have been a bit easier to follow, or it could have been my installers! - But worth the effort - Enjoy it!!

Works well with the tumbled marble and nickel Grohe trim. Was a little tougher to install than cheaper "box store" models, but we'll worth it. Doors are a nice weight, heavier glass gives a more solid, luxurious feel. And great price.

I have a cast iron tub that only has a 2" wide lip. I am looking for a bypass sliding door that does not require drilling into the tub and also requires 2 inch or less threshold. Would this door work? If not, can you suggest a different one?
This version of the Duet has been discontinued as a tub door, but there is a new version called the Duet Plus that is nearly identical and it will definitely meet all your requirements. The Duet Plus tub door is model # SHDR-1860580. It requires 2" of threshold space and does not require you to drill into your tub deck.

I would like to know exact total width of the bottom rail track frame for Duet model bath tub sliding door

The bottom rail will arrive to you designed to fit your maximum model size, either 48" or 60", and you will cut the rail to fit. Instructions for this will be clearly outlined in the manual.

can the bottom profile allow for a tub that is not sitting on the floor perfectly level? I have out of plumb walls and a tub that does not sit perfectly level.
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. While the Duet is able to be adjusted for out of plumb walls by up to 1/2" per side, it does not allow for adjustment for an out of level tub. In fact, all of our tub doors require a level tub. Sorry that we cannot be of more help to you.
