Shower door arrived on time, good packaging prevented any chance of damage due to transportation. My contractor installed the door in no time, I love the bold look of it and it is very easy to maintain. However, my contractor made a mistake and cut bottom antiwater plastic strip too short, so there was space where vertical plastic strip and bottom plastic strip meet, and water leaked through it. I called Dreamline and they shipped me another bottom antiwater plastic strip at no charge. I would certainly recommend purchasing Dreamline products.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Elaine123 from Not for use with body jets I love the look of this door and it was well-installed by my contractor. Unfortunately, I didn't realize until after the fact that it would not work with body jets. Even though the jets are at the front of the shower, they are forceful enough to splash at the back of the tub, and water leaks (alot!) outside the enclosure. There is also slight leak at the hinge which I could live with if it were in my own bath -- I would wipe up the excess moisture; but it is in a teen's bath and no hope of that! A great looking door if you have only a fixed shower head and can put up with a very slight leak at the hinges. I will have to try a sliding glass door that provides complete closing.

Good packaging; all parts in the box.To be fully satisfied with your installation, before you place an order check that wall you will install it on forms perfect 90 deg angle with the top of tub. Measured at the top of glass panel, hardware will allow max 1/4" tolerance from that angle. Otherwise you will have to use shims at wall brackets and wide sealant joints. Before installation RED AND UNDERSTAND INSTRUCTIONS !!! For a perfect look. after installation, using sharp utility knife, trim neoprene gaskets used to separate glass from metal surfaces of brackets and hinges. They will protrude a little bit beyond metal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Donna from Love the modern look! My husband remodels homes. He installed it earlier this year in our home. We love the look and functionality. I will tell prospective buyers though that there is absolutely no way to make it leak proof. Some water will get on the floor from the hinged area. It isn't problematic for us. We simply place an absorbent towel on the floor. Care must be taken to prevent mildew around the bottom of the hinged door where the stripping meets the tub. Again, not problematic just know to be aware and use some Clorox periodically to clean around it. Because of the weight of the door, two strong people are needed for installation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by vapoole from Beautiful but not that functional I love the look of this door enough to consider keeping it, but I have a fixed shower head and no matter how how I angle it or how close to the front of the shower I stand, water gets absolutely everywhere. I'm going to try other shower heads before returning it since I like the look so much, but it really doesn't do a whole lot to keep the water in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SLUJeeper from Excellent Door I purchased this door in 2016 and installed it myself. Its a very solid, heavy door and took a helper to install. Make sure your walls are plumb and square to tub. The hinges are very good quality. They are silent, smooth, and easy to clean. I use this shower daily, and clean everything on a regular basis. A tiny amount of mold usually appears after 3 weeks at the bottom inside corner where the door meets the fixed panel. The plastic door strip to keep water in did crack near the hinge, but its a minor thing. I plan to purchase a replacemment. I have another bathroom im remodeling and plan to use an Aqualux door for that as well. Affordable, well made, easy to install. Very satisfied.

Since this door does not have a protective coating, can you suggest a product to use for that purpose?

DreamLine does not recommend that you apply any after-market protective/coating products to any of our glass so, unfortunately, we do not have any products we can suggest or offer. We do recommend that any excess moisture on (coated or uncoated) DreamLine glass and/or on the hardware is removed with a squeegee and/or a soft cloth after each shower to prevent water spots. What is the difference in the aqua ultra and the aqua lux?

The Aqua Lux has been discontinued and is no longer available, but just to answer your question, here are the differences between the Aqua Ultra and the Aqua Lux. The main difference is that the Ultra has some adjustment for out-of-plumb walls (up to 1/4") and the Lux has zero adjustments for out-of-plumb walls. The Ultra has a wall channel that allows for this adjustment and the Lux does not - the glass goes flush with the wall for the Lux. Can this door be installed with a tub that is 48" in length (versus the traditional 60" in length)?

Can I get replacements parts of the rubber gaskets that go along the edge of the part of the door that opens? after using the shower door for a year I can see that at some point they are going to need to be replaced. The model number is SHDR- 3348588

What material is the hinges, wall mounting brackets, upper brace, and towel bar made from? 316 Stainless steel?
