Mirage-X Sliding Shower Door is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just like it's pictured!!! Did a complete remodel of the master bath. Installed a shower with a Dreamline Slimline 34 x 60 shower base with an accompanying Mirage Shower door. Bought the door through Home Depot, and the box arrived damaged. Called Dreamline about the missing parts, and received the missing parts within days. No hassle at all! Am an experienced DIY guy, but the shower and tray were a first for me. Followed the directions for both, and had no problems at all. The shower install is well mapped out. Follow the directions for a beautiful end product. This is definitely well made. Love it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from second time purchaser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we remodeled the master bath a couple of years ago, I purchased a door unit from faucetdirect and it was great. Easy decision when we remodeled the guest bathroom in December. As the previous unit, this one was great: packaged to the nth degree, heavy guage supports and runners and complete. We couldn't be happier.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from BE AWARE This door is designed for the sliding door to be on the shower head side. If the shower head is on the stationary panel side, water will get in between the glass and next to impossible to clean. The overlap should go in the same direction as the water flow, it does not if the shower head sprays from the opposite direction

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly great. One issue so far. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needs an extra bumper for the top off the door. Without it, the door must be opened very carefully, or it easily slams into the metal cover and dents it (and might damage or destroy the glass too). We used adhesive clear rubber bumpers from the hardware store to fix the issue. Also, the packaging was significantly damaged upon arrival. Thankfully the items inside were ok.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Shower door! I've had this about a year in my master bath that was added onto my house. It's so easy to clean and just looks great all the time. I use a squeegee after showers to get the water off, as it did get some scaling on the door due to hard water. It really looks just like the picture. There is a small plastic drip guard on the bottom under the handle that fell off, but it's easy to glue back on. I'm very happy with this door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome shower door Bought this back in may 2021 and had the contractor install during tub to shower remodel. Amazing door! Love the fixed panel and one sliding portion. We had the shower valve relocated from opposite site and love that you can slide the door open a little bit to turn on water without getting sprayed with cold water. The brushed nickel complements the shower head and schluter trim. Excellent product!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid shower doors I got the mirage x shower doors for my master shower. We wanted all glass with as little framing as possible. The glass is thick and super heavy, not cheap thin glass you typically see. Installation wasnt bad at all. we have a fiber glass enclosure and even though the glass is taller than the shower it looks just fine. We will definitely buy again when we remodel the downstairs bathroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, well designed, good directions We took out our tub and replaced it with a shower. Our tile pro installed the Dreamline Mirage-X by himself. It took him about 4.5 to 5 hours. He said it was heavy and a challenge because of the weight but the directions were clear and every piece was identified. The design is elegant. It is all easy to clean, especially the glass. We would definitely buy it again.

Can the install be configured so that the opening side is opposite the shower head side, without the water spraying between the glass pieces?

Asked by: Derek F
If you have the showerhead opposite the side of the door glass, the showerhead will be pointed at the gap between the panels, however, there is a long vinyl strip that installs on the edge of the glass that will block that gap, so as long as you don't point the showerhead directly at the gap, the strip should block splashing water from going between the panels. What is the difference between Dreamline Mirage-X and Dreamline Mirage-Z

Asked by: BobinDC
The most important difference is that the Mirage-X has 3/8" of adjustment for out-of-plumb walls on only the stationary glass side and the Mirage-Z has 3/8" of adjustment for out-of-plumb walls on both the stationary glass side and the door glass side. So, the Mirage-Z is has more out-of-plumb adjustment because it uses a metal channel on both the left and the right wall. Aside from this, the only other difference is the handle. Mirage-X uses a single handle on the exterior-facing side of the glass with a large knob on the interior-facing side of the glass and the Mirage-Z uses a double handle (handle on inside and outside). The handle for the X is a more traditional rounded metal design and the handle for the Z is a modern square-shaped design. How long is the L-Bar support bracket from the glass or space u need for that bracket

Asked by: Benny Rodriguez
The Mirage-X shower door comes in 2 widths. The 44-48" model size uses a 12" x 6" L-bar support and the larger 56-60" model size uses an 18" x 6" L-bar support. For both L-bar supports, the 6" side of the L-bar is the side that will mount to the wall. Can I clean the doors with windex? Or do I need to use something else? I just don’t want to mess up the Clearmax glass coating.

Asked by: Brittcc
To preserve the ClearMax coating, you should never use chemicals containing bleach or ammonia (such as Windex). You should actually avoid all chemical cleaners and any type of cleaners that have abrasives or scouring agents in them. For best results, we recommend using a squeegee and/or soft cloth to remove any small amounts of residual water from the glass and/or hardware after each shower. To clean the glass, mild dish detergent, a soft cloth, and warm water is what we recommend. Difference between mirage x and mirage z models

Asked by: Oldman
The differences between Mirage-X and Mirage-Z are mostly cosmetic. The most important difference is in the adjustment capability. The Mirage-X only has adjustment for out-of-plumb walls on the stationary glass side. The Mirage-Z has adjustment on both sides. The cosmetic difference is with the handle. Mirage-Z has a double-sided square-shaped handle and the Mirage-X has a rounded single-sided handle. Hi there! Can the Mirage Z be installed on the DreamLine SlimLine single threshold shower Insert? If so, what is the best way to attach it to the threshold? Thanks!

Asked by: Leah H
Yes, the Mirage-Z can be installed on a DreamLine SlimLine single threshold shower base. There will be instructions and guidelines in the installation manual for fastening the bottom rail to the acrylic threshold of the DreamLine shower base with the provided screws. DreamLine always provides 2 sets of instructions for drilling into the threshold for installation of a shower door - 1 instruction for drilling into tile, and one for drilling into acrylic. Please review the installation manual and follow the guidelines that apply to your installation which, in your case, will be the guidelines for installation to an acrylic threshold.
