Mirage-X Sliding Shower Door is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just like it's pictured!!! Did a complete remodel of the master bath. Installed a shower with a Dreamline Slimline 34 x 60 shower base with an accompanying Mirage Shower door. Bought the door through Home Depot, and the box arrived damaged. Called Dreamline about the missing parts, and received the missing parts within days. No hassle at all! Am an experienced DIY guy, but the shower and tray were a first for me. Followed the directions for both, and had no problems at all. The shower install is well mapped out. Follow the directions for a beautiful end product. This is definitely well made. Love it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from second time purchaser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we remodeled the master bath a couple of years ago, I purchased a door unit from faucetdirect and it was great. Easy decision when we remodeled the guest bathroom in December. As the previous unit, this one was great: packaged to the nth degree, heavy guage supports and runners and complete. We couldn't be happier.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from BE AWARE This door is designed for the sliding door to be on the shower head side. If the shower head is on the stationary panel side, water will get in between the glass and next to impossible to clean. The overlap should go in the same direction as the water flow, it does not if the shower head sprays from the opposite direction

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult to Clean The Dreamline SHDR-1960723R Mirage shower door is very heavy and good quality. It has a stationary panel and one sliding door. The door is adjustable from 56-60 inches. Our opening was 56" resulting in a 4" overlap between the sliding glass door and the stationary panel. The extremely heavy sliding door will need to be removed to clean this overlap in the glass. In retrospect I should have chosen a model with two sliding sides or a 56" door. The flexibility of the sizing is not beneficial in the long run.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly great. One issue so far. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needs an extra bumper for the top off the door. Without it, the door must be opened very carefully, or it easily slams into the metal cover and dents it (and might damage or destroy the glass too). We used adhesive clear rubber bumpers from the hardware store to fix the issue. Also, the packaging was significantly damaged upon arrival. Thankfully the items inside were ok.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Shower door! I've had this about a year in my master bath that was added onto my house. It's so easy to clean and just looks great all the time. I use a squeegee after showers to get the water off, as it did get some scaling on the door due to hard water. It really looks just like the picture. There is a small plastic drip guard on the bottom under the handle that fell off, but it's easy to glue back on. I'm very happy with this door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome shower door Bought this back in may 2021 and had the contractor install during tub to shower remodel. Amazing door! Love the fixed panel and one sliding portion. We had the shower valve relocated from opposite site and love that you can slide the door open a little bit to turn on water without getting sprayed with cold water. The brushed nickel complements the shower head and schluter trim. Excellent product!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid shower doors I got the mirage x shower doors for my master shower. We wanted all glass with as little framing as possible. The glass is thick and super heavy, not cheap thin glass you typically see. Installation wasnt bad at all. we have a fiber glass enclosure and even though the glass is taller than the shower it looks just fine. We will definitely buy again when we remodel the downstairs bathroom.

We've got a toilet right beside the shower and the shower head has to go on the same wall as the toilet. This means we want the fixed panel at the end with the shower head. Is it an option to have the sliding door run outside of the fixed door instead?

Asked by: AndyF
Unfortunately, no - you cannot install this model with the sliding door on the outside of the fixed panel. An installation like this would void the warranty entirely and would also very likely cause serious leaking while anyone was showering. There is a vinyl seal that will block the gap between the door glass and the stationary glass, so as long as you shower normally and don't point the showerhead directly at this covered gap, water should remain contained within your shower. The other suggestion we could offer would be one of our bypass style sliding shower doors which will allow full left-to-right movement of both pieces of glass, so you could enter through the shower through whichever side you like, you can set the inside glass on the same side as your showerhead, and you could slide the door open on either side to turn on your shower controls. What size door would work in an opening of 49 3/8".

Asked by: rquad
Technically, you could trim the upper rail for the 50-54" model size (model # SHDR-1954724) to fit a 49-3/8" opening, but you would just have to understand that your walk-in entry will be a little smaller and you will have more overlap between the 2 glass panels in the center when the door is fully closed. I have a 48 1/2" finished opening. I think I can still install MirageZ in my shower and only effect is the overlap of the sliding door will be no more than a1/2" narrower on the stationary panel. I think this will work and should give me a 1.5" overlap?

Asked by: keithd
Unfortunately, you cannot stretch the tolerances of the Mirage-Z to fit an opening that is 48-1/2". The absolute maximum width tolerance for this model is 48". Installing this unit in an opening that is too large will completely void the warranty. If you have any other questions, we invite you to contact our DreamLine PreSales Consultants at 866-282-8413. Can the Mirage-X be installed in a fiberglass enclosure?

Asked by: Todd56
DreamLine shower doors, tub doors, and shower enclosures are not designed for installation into molded acrylic/fiberglass shower surrounds and should not be installed into these types of openings because doing this will void the warranty and compromise the product. All DreamLine shower/tub doors and enclosures require solid finished walls (no pocket of dead space behind the wall), true 90-degree angles where the wall meets the threshold (corners cannot have a radius or curve), and finished walls that are at least as tall as the shower/tub door or enclosure (so that none of the glass or hardware sticks up above the walls). Is it possible to have the Dreamline Mirage X customized so it will work on a tub installation? We are wanting a frameless and headerless slider door setup and this is perfect. Would it be possible to get this in a lower height?

Asked by: Will L
The Mirage-X is already available in a tub door height, you will just have to change the model number a little. The width range for the tub height door will be 56-60". The model number for the tub size Mirage-X is model # SHDR-1960580. If you have any other questions, we invite you to contact our DreamLine PreSales Consultants at 866-282-8413. Hello, I have an existing curb shower pan with front edge lip. Will these doors work or will the pan have to be replaced?

Asked by: WillyR
You will need 1-3/8" of flat threshold space to install the bottom rail for the Mirage-X shower door. If you have enough space behind the lip that is on the edge of your base, the only other thing you will need to consider is how you will seal the space between the bottom rail and the lip on the edge so that any resting water that lands in that space doesn't cause any sort of mold/mildew issues. This is why we typically will recommend a standard shower curb that is completely flat (without any type of drip edge or lip on the front of the threshold).
