Mirage-X Sliding Shower Door is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just like it's pictured!!! Did a complete remodel of the master bath. Installed a shower with a Dreamline Slimline 34 x 60 shower base with an accompanying Mirage Shower door. Bought the door through Home Depot, and the box arrived damaged. Called Dreamline about the missing parts, and received the missing parts within days. No hassle at all! Am an experienced DIY guy, but the shower and tray were a first for me. Followed the directions for both, and had no problems at all. The shower install is well mapped out. Follow the directions for a beautiful end product. This is definitely well made. Love it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from second time purchaser When we remodeled the master bath a couple of years ago, I purchased a door unit from faucetdirect and it was great. Easy decision when we remodeled the guest bathroom in December. As the previous unit, this one was great: packaged to the nth degree, heavy guage supports and runners and complete. We couldn't be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Shower door! I've had this about a year in my master bath that was added onto my house. It's so easy to clean and just looks great all the time. I use a squeegee after showers to get the water off, as it did get some scaling on the door due to hard water. It really looks just like the picture. There is a small plastic drip guard on the bottom under the handle that fell off, but it's easy to glue back on. I'm very happy with this door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid shower doors I got the mirage x shower doors for my master shower. We wanted all glass with as little framing as possible. The glass is thick and super heavy, not cheap thin glass you typically see. Installation wasnt bad at all. we have a fiber glass enclosure and even though the glass is taller than the shower it looks just fine. We will definitely buy again when we remodel the downstairs bathroom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly great. One issue so far. Needs an extra bumper for the top off the door. Without it, the door must be opened very carefully, or it easily slams into the metal cover and dents it (and might damage or destroy the glass too). We used adhesive clear rubber bumpers from the hardware store to fix the issue. Also, the packaging was significantly damaged upon arrival. Thankfully the items inside were ok.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, well designed, good directions We took out our tub and replaced it with a shower. Our tile pro installed the Dreamline Mirage-X by himself. It took him about 4.5 to 5 hours. He said it was heavy and a challenge because of the weight but the directions were clear and every piece was identified. The design is elegant. It is all easy to clean, especially the glass. We would definitely buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Shower Doors I bought these shower doors specifically because my walls were out of plumb and these doors are adjustable just for that. They are very beautiful doors and the installation was very easy. They are very easy to keep clean and they slide great. Sliding glass doors have come a long way since the old ones and these are just great all the way around.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shower door but poor design of drip guard Great door. Very sturdy with well thought out components The area to improve is the drip guard which attaches with two sided tape. This doesn’t work. The drip guard should attach from the bottom of the glass door

We have looked at the specs of the Mirage X and Z and cannot tell what is different. The photos also look so similar (unless we are missing something obvious). Would you mind clarifying for us please? Thanks

Asked by: Jefferson
In addition to the elements explained by Dreamline response, the 'Z' is also Universal for either right of left fixed/sliding panel installation. This may not be of consequence as you would likely purchase the 'handed' X version you require. But the 'Z' will accommodate to go either way at time of installation if you have change of preference (or inadvertently made the wrong choice!) I would recommend the 'Z' even if you don't have 'out of plumb' moving door end-wall - it just looks more finished for me. And the inside handle is also visually and functionally more appealing. As a happy owner I would suggest for the relatively small difference in price, the Z would be my recommendation, but if you are budget-conscious the X will certainly meet your requirements, particularly if your 'strike' wall is plumb.

Mirage-x: the squeegee strip does not fully wipe the stationary side. Is there a way to adjust it? My contractor lost the installation manual.

Asked by: Athensga
Thank you for your interest in DreamLine. The flange on the anti water strip is not designed to touch the opposing panel. If it did, you would have drag on the moving panel which could result in damage. The flange is just designed to cover that area and block any water from escaping. Can I mount SHDR-1960723R-01 on a bathtub vs, a shower pan ?

Asked by: AreYouKiddingMe
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. You can, but the handle will be a little higher than a normal tub door handle would be. This door is designed and proportioned for use with a shower base. You will also need to make sure that you have enough clearance for the door above your tub. If you have any other questions, please contact a DreamLine PreSales Consultant at 866.282.8413. I just purchased the Mirage X model #SHDR-1960580L-04 for my bathtub. I believe this requires drilling the bottom track. I dont want to drill into my tub. Is there any kind of bracket that can be attached at the ends in the wall to hold the track in place

Asked by: Galvin
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The Mirage-X does require drilling into the bathtub for proper installation. We do not have an alternate method of installation for the Mirage-X at this time. The panels of the Mirage-X are heavy and travel through the bottom guide rail so it is important that it be installed securely. Can door be installed in a fiberglass shower??

Asked by: Buck
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. DreamLine shower doors and enclosures are not designed for use with fiberglass shower enclosures. All DreamLine shower/tub doors and enclosures require smooth, solid finished walls, true 90° angles where the wall meets the threshold, and finished walls that are at least as tall as the shower/tub door or enclosure. If the walls of your fiberglass enclosure have any give or flex to them when you push on the wall, most likely there is a pocket of dead space behind the wall and the wall is not solid. Is a mirage X shower door coated on both sides with a chemical coating or is it coated just on one one side? I wasn't here when the contractor put it in he says that he peel to labels off the outside and left two labels on the inside the panel. How to tel

Asked by: yukonmike
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The Mirage-X shower is treated on both sides of the moving door and stationary panel with the ClearMax coating. There would be a sticker on both sides of each panel before they were pealed off. If you have any other questions, please contact a DreamLine PreSales Consultant at 866.282.8413.
