Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really enhances and updates look of my shower It took me a long time to find a product that looked as seemless as possible was a bypass door and fit my 53inch opening. Not easy to find.... your product fit the bill perfectly... it had the nickel finish I wanted as well as the added height. I had hoped for a seemless design, but realized that was not available in bypass style. The frame blends in more than I anticipated. It looks great. I can not comment on installation, since I did not install it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Customer Service While the shower door is beautiful, well made and perfect for my new shower, the customer service is exceptional and unlike any I have dealt with recently. While installing the glass doors, the door shattered in my hands into a million pieces. I figured I must have bumped the tub without realizing it. I called Dreamline to obtain a replacement and planned to pay, but to my surprise they sent one free of charge and that included shipping FEDEX in 2 days. I was effectively stunned as I have not run across a company with this quality of customer satisfaction. I can't but strongly recommend Dreamline for any of your future shower projects. Thanks Dreamline.I gave the product a 4 star on installation as the doors are very fragile and definitely require very careful handling. Also for the second time around for the install, I will tape heavy foam around the tub to prevent inadvertent contact with the tub.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After much frustration it was an easy installation The one issue is the direction with the roller assembly, there is a drawing however it is not clear at all about how to take that assembly apart. Once that I figured that out it was a breeze. The outer cover needs to be pried off that enables you to get to the allen head screw to take it apart. That needs to be clearer in the directions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything it Promised...and More. I purchased on line after reading numerous reviews of competitors and Dreamline. The door is beautiful- better yet, it is well constructed, with substantial glass doors which slide easily, a solid frame and came well protected and damage free. It is much superior to doors of similar and higher price - a great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality This shower door is well made! The glass doors are very heavy and not flimsy! There are no leaks since there's a bottom rail. No water splashes out where the 2 doors meet either. I'm very impressed with this shower door!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eye catching product Bought product to finish out a custom shower. The shower door accents the shower very well. Also Dreamliner customer service is outstanding. It may take a few minutes in the queue but the wait is worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dreamline SHDR-164760 A well made door. Aluminum top rail was very thick and heavy. The glass is thick. Rollers were solid. It feels very substantial. Instructions were clear. The homeowner was happy so I am happy!

What are the framing requirements (behind the shower walls, 2x4s)? Does it just require a single 2x4 in the wall behind the tile where the rail will attach? I want to be sure that I have the proper support before I install my tile.

Asked by: LeoBe
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. While studs behind finished walls are always preferable, the Encore Shower Door does not require any special studding or reinforcements behind your finished walls. The Encore is basically the same size as the Essence and Charisma line. What makes the Encore weigh so much more than these other two lines. I'm worried about being able to handle the Encore during installation.

Asked by: gh8toes
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The Encore does have more hardware than the Essence or the Charisma. Keep in mind that you will not be moving the whole thing at one time, but will be moving it in pieces. DreamLine does recommend that our products be installed by professionals, so you may want to consider that, also. Hope this is helpful. I'm thinking of buying an Encore door and have read the installation instructions. It would be very helpful to most people if you also made a YouTube video showing the installation process available. Is that possible?

Asked by: gh8toes
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. Many customers have suggested the same thing and we are working to produce installation videos for all of the doors. It is a process, however, and one that we want to do well. In the interim, you are welcomed to contact DreamLine's Customer Support Team with any questions you may have. We have experienced technicians on hand to address any installation question you may have. DreamLine's Customer Support Team can be reached by phone at 866-731-2244 or by email at support@dreamline.com. We are available M-F from 8am-7pm EST and Saturday from 9am-5pm EST. We are also available through LiveChat on the website. Thank you for considering DreamLine!

I have a cast iron tub. Does the bottom track have to be screwed into the tub? Or can it be held in place with a good caulk sealant?

Asked by: Mikey
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. Yes, the Encore Shower Door does have to be screwed into the tub along the threshold. Please consult with your tub manufacturer for advice on drill bits, etc. If you have any other questions about the Encore, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. We are available 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm EST and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. We have a walk in shower and do not want a track at the bottom. Do these shower doors have a track at the bottom?

Asked by: Lisa G
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The Encore shower door does have a bottom guide rail, unfortunately. All of our bypass doors will have a bottom rail for the panels to travel through. Our sliding doors that have a stationary panel with a moving panel will have the most trackless look. The Enigma-X, Enigma-Z and Enigma Air models all have a small anti water strip across the threshold that is optional to install. Should you choose not to install the threshold strip, we would advise you to be aware that there is the possibility of water escaping if your threshold area is not pitched inward enough. Hope this is helpful. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. When you open the door, how much room remains between two doors? I want to install grids which are 3/16 ' think and I wonder if it would be a problem when opening s door.

Asked by: MarinaLit1
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. DreamLine does not recommend the addition of any hardware to our doors, and doing so will void your warranty on the door. DreamLine shower doors are designed and engineered to very exacting standards and the addition of hardware such as "grids" can affect the performance of the door. Is it possible to fit this to 55 in width? Which variation of encore is used for that?

Asked by: Davidb3
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The 60" Encore shower door you have referenced is designed to be used for a 56-60" opening. Adjusting the door down to a 55" wide opening will result in a smaller walk through opening and a greater overlap of the glass panels. Your walk through space will be appx. 22-1/2" wide if you adjust the door down to 55" wide. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. We are available 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm EST and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. What model/models do you sell in a 60”x76” for converting a standard bath/shower to a shower that is frameless model with the double/bypass shower doors?  I want 3/8” thick glass and easy cleaning.  Does the Charisma or Essence fit the bill? Thanks

Asked by: EllenS
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The DreamLine Encore, Charisma, and Essence are both beautiful shower doors and would certainly work for you. They are 5/16" thick glass however. In fact, all of DreamLine's bypass models are 5/16" thick glass. All of these doors feature our ClearMax coating on the glass for easy cleaning. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244.
