Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my new dreamline door My new door arrived just a few days after ordering, packaged very well, nothing broken or scratched. I have never installed a door like this before and found it to be pretty straight forward. My biggest problem was the weight of the door, trying to hold the glass while mounting on hinges, door is 99 lbs.. I mounted the door a little different than the instructions call for. I mounted the hinges with the out of plum trim to the glass door first, then my wife and I were able to lift the door and slide the out of plum trim into the door trim bracket.. Hopefully you understand what I'm saying,. anyway all is well and it's a great door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major upgrade Bought this to replace an older framed door with gaskets that had deteriorated. The Dreamline Elegance is a heavy, thick door and a two-person job to install. I recommend performing the "optional" step in the installation instructions of screwing the bottom pivot base directly into the threshold, rather than relying on the standard pressure screw. We found that by using only the pressure screw, the door shifted slightly out of alignment when opening. This required removal and re-instalation after screwing the pivot base directly into the threshold. However, the end result was well worth it. Door looks great and is a big improvement over the one it replaced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from frameless shower door Very nice shower door that was easy to install. I am a home owner that practices medicine but was able to install this door with the help of my 13 year old son. It looks great and was adjustable enough to provide a perfect fit in my not so perfect tile door way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice looking door but broke during installation Door arrived securely packaged in a shipping crate. It looks very good, clean and professional look. however, during installation, without a bump or a nick, the door broke while following instructions. glass everywhere, small amount of bleeding. Currently trying to see what kind of a refund is available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality and easy to install. Overall, the shower door was high quality and easy to install. My wife and I, finished the installation in less then 2 1/2 hours. If you happen to have a problem with installation, customer service is only a call away, and accessible. Not only are they accessible, buy they don't outsource their customer care, so you will be taking to someone that has knowledge of what needs to be done. Rather then, someone being prompted by a scripted response. I would recommend this product to any of my friends or family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with the choice I made. I purchased the door sight unseen hoping it would work out..Well,it did.My brother, who I helped with the install, has installed many other models of shower doors, and he said as soon as we unboxed it,he knew it was a quality door, and looks like a custom door, especially at the price I paid.It was easy to install also.I get nothing but compliments on how nice it looks.I also have the Dreamline shower base to go along with the door.I'm very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great Bought this for my spare bathroom overhaul and installed it into my custom tile shower. Looks really nice. I did have a problem with the install, the door has a top and bottom but I was unaware and put it in upside down. The top side of the glass is slightly taller from the hinge than the bottom so when it is upside down the glass is too close to the threshold to use the drip guard and also could rub the tile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Experience with Dreamline Needed to go through a New York broker to purchase the unit. Could not find a local installer even with "big box" stores. Once I was able to buy the unit, I was impressed with the engineering and quality. I installed it myself using the very good instructions and by calling the help line when I had a question. Very pleased with the end result.

What is the difference between the elegance and the elegance LS?

Asked by: mich24
Thank you for your interest in DreamLine Shower Doors! The Elegance-LS is a new model that was recently introduced. Both the Elegance and Elegance-LS are similar, except for a few differences. The 1st difference is in the handle configuration. The Elegance has a handle/ knob combination whereas the Elegance-LS has a back to back handle. The 2nd difference is in the available finishes. The Elegance is only available in 3 of our finishes which are chrome, brushed nickel and oil rubbed bronze. The Elegance-LS is available in 4 finishes which are chrome, brushed nickel, oil rubbed bronze and satin black. The 3rd difference is the hardware used to support models that have inline panels. For the Elegance models, the inline panel is supported by 2 glass shelves. The shelving not only provides support for the inline panel but is convenient storage. For the Elegance-LS models, the inline panel is supported by an L-Bar support bracket that sits on top of the inline panel. Again, thank you for contacting DreamLine Shower Doors! I am installing the DreamLine Elegance Single door with pivot assemblies on left and handle on right. Instructions say to install with the ClearMax label on the inside, but this is impossible with this configuration, since the door has a top and bottom.

Asked by: Dale
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. Because the DreamLine Elegance moving panel does have a top and a bottom, the ClearMax is installed to both sides of that panel. There should have been stickers on both sides. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. We are available 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm EST and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Hello -- can this door be mounted in a fiberglass shower? Thanks!

Asked by: showerdoorquestioner
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. All DreamLine shower doors and enclosures require smooth, solid finished walls, true 90° angles where the wall meets the threshold, and finished walls that are at least as tall as the shower door or enclosure. If the walls of your fiberglass enclosure have any give or flex to them when you push on the wall, most likely there is a pocket of dead space behind the wall and the wall is not solid. Please make sure that your shower/tub meets these requirements for installation before making your choice. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. We are available 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm EST and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Can this door open inward AND outward?  Also, I do not want a stationary panel.  I would like to have a full swinging door only along with the required hardware.  Does this door require a stationary panel?

Asked by: Kemma
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. Some configurations of the DreamLine Elegance shower door do require a stationary panel, while others are just the moving panel. Even with a single moving panel, you will have hardware installed to the wall that the door closes to. As far as inward swing, the Elegance can open inward, but you would have to change the orientation of the anti water strips on both sides of the door, and you may experience leaking. To allow the door to be a full swing door, you would have to remove the strips all together, which could result in water escaping, as well. If you have any other questions or would like to discuss this further, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. IN STEP 10 YOU USE ANT-WEAR STRIP 10 INTO GLASS PROFILE 02. IN STEP 11 YOU USE AGAIN ANTI-WEAR STRIP 10 INTO GLASS PROFILE 04. THE PARTS LIST SHOWS ONLY TWO WEAR STRIPS. SHOULD THERE BE FOUR ANTWEAR STRIPS?

Asked by: LAWRENCE
Hi Lawrence! There should only be 2 of part #10. Please read the notes before step 11. If you have the single panel Elegance, you will use both Part #10 (anti water strip) in both glass profiles. If you have a larger Elegance with a stationary panel, you will only use one Part #10 in the glass profile on the pivot side. The other glass profile will have your stationary panel installed into it. If you have a stationary panel, you will use part #28 on the exposed vertical edge of the stationary panel that the moving panel closes to. Hope this explains it a little more clearly.
