SlimLine Double Threshold Shower Base is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect product My contractor was delighted with this product. I had purchased a different brand and when it arrived we realized it wouldn't work. Then found this Dreamline product. It worked perfectly with our "Vigo" shower enclosure. I preferred it to the original Vigo product. It had a lower threshold. The 'diamond pattern' is nice and non-slip. Contractor said the construction eliminated one step for support underneath that he had anticipated. Completely happy with this purchase. (And it was cheaper than the first one I ordered--couldn't return that one but decided the loss was worth it.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from just right Instructions to install are good. We decided to use this instead of building our own shower base to save some time. It's not as nice as tile, but will be easier to clean. I'm not sure if we scratched it while installing it or if it came that way, but be careful when fitting it against the bare studs if your tile backer board is already up. If your floor isn't level, pour leveling compound to get it there before throwing down your mud base....it will make the job a lot easier. We also used the DreamLine glass shower enclosure. Absolutely make sure every angle of the base is level so the glass sits properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great! I needed a small shower for a tiny bathroom and this one just fit. It looks great and I couldn't be happier with it. Pallet it arrived on was really broken up so we were worried something was broken but all was well. Do open upon receiving as they ask you to just to be sure it's arrived in good shape.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Attractive base, installation more difficult then should have been I bought this shower base for a remodel I'm performing. I am an amateur when it comes to bathroom remodels but very handy and have had alot of success with other DIY projects on my house. My wife loved the look of this base and it seems to be fairly sturdy for what it is. There are quite a few of these DIY shower base pans on the market with as many different installation processes. I'm a stickler for following instructions so I reviewed the manual thoroughly. As I began the installation, the first thing I found was that the support rings had not been leveled. The pan would "wobble" when placed on the floor. I thought the floor was unlevel at first but using a 48" level quickly showed the floor level and flat (it should have been since I had just replaced it with new subfloor due to previous water damage). Using a straight edge, I gently sanded the rings down until all was level and flush. So, with proper dry fit, time to put some mortar down. However, the manual did not say how much and the diagram was somewhat confusing. I didn't know if the mortar was just to provide lateral support for the rings or does the mortar help to actually support the shower pan base? Called tech support line and was told to "fill in the space between the floor and the pan" and that I should taper the mortar from 3/8" to 5/8" from the drain to the edge. Well, after two attempts, and two 60 pound bags of mortar, I re-evaluated. The instructions say that the pan will have to be "pressed" into place. This is impossible to do with the amount of mortar tech support told me to use. Essentially you would have to apply enough force to "squish" the mortar out from underneath the support rings. Mortar does not flow that easily. So, spoke with some professionals who work in construction. After describing the design of the shower pan (specifically the support rings) they said the mortar is only there to provide lateral support (keep it from moving around) and that only a very thin layer was needed. Followed there advice and my shower pan is now successfully installed. So, to sum up, the shower pan was not level, the instructions were not clear, and tech support was less then helpful. I like the way it looks, but I don't know that I would buy this product from them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice When I first saw this product I was taken a back by the price, I thought that it seemed low and maybe the quality wasnt there. Well I read the reviews and decided to try it and I was not disappointed. I am a contractor and find this to be a real nice base and I matched it with a Dreamline Shower Door which impressed me as well

Rated 4 out of 5 by from well made stable shower base There is very little flex in this shower base. For the money it appears to good quality and has a fair amount of weight to it.

What are the correct model choices of shower enclosures to use with Model DLT-1036481 Double Threshold Shower base, the thickness of my back wall material over the edge of the lip of the base is 7/8".

Asked by: Bill96137
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. DreamLine typically recommends that the shower base be 2" larger than the shower enclosure size. In this case, we have several models that would work for you. Options include any of our 34" by 48" Enigma series of shower enclosures. The following model numbers provide some design options within this series: Enigma-X (SHEN-6134480), the Enigma Air (SHEN-6434480), the Enigma-Z (SHEN-6234480) or the Enigma-XT (SHEN-6134480-18). If you are interested in a hinged shower door rather than a sliding door, the Unidoor-X (model E32434) or the Unidoor Plus (model SHEN-24460340). You can place those model numbers in the search field and they will come up for you. If you have any other questions or need further help, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. Are there any other options for this shower base (34” x 48”, left side drain, double threshold) aside from the Quatra or Quatra Lux? Any bypass doors?

Asked by: Leandra
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The only other shower enclosure that we have that would work for this shower base is the Enigma-X shower enclosure, model #SHEN-6132481. This is not a bypass model, however. It is a sliding shower enclosure configured with a stationary panel and a moving panel, in addition to the 32" return panel. Unfortunately, we do not have a bypass shower enclosure available at this time. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. We are available 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm EST and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. What would be the shower door units that would fit the model number for the left drain version is DLT-1036601?

Asked by: swar15
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. DreamLine makes sliding shower enclosure models in the 34" by 60" size that will work for this double threshold shower base. You may want to consider the Enigma-X shower enclosure, model #SHEN-6134600 or the Enigma Air shower enclosure, model #SHEN-6434600. If you are interested in a hinged shower door, we recommend installing the base, finishing your walls and then measuring for your shower door. If you need any help selecting a model or have further questions, please contact DreamLine Customer Support for assistance. DreamLine's Customer Support Team can be reached by phone at 866-731-2244 or by email at support@dreamline.com. We are available M-F from 8am-7pm EST and Saturday from 9am-5pm EST. Hello there, I have a 36" x 36" double threshold (DLT-1036360-04) base and am wondering how many of your shower enclosures will fit this and will be centered on both sides. I am "Not a fan" of the E12934-04 shower enclosure but do like the brushed nickle.

Asked by: mjgord51er
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. In the brushed nickel finish we do have a few other options. The first one that I would recommend is the Unidoor Plus shower enclosure, model #SHEN-24340340-04. It is similar to the Unidoor-X, but with the moving panel mounted directly to the wall instead of to the hinged panel. The Unidoor Plus does require double studs or wood blocking behind your finished walls where the hinges are to be mounted. Another option is the Elegance shower enclosure, model #SHEN-4134341-04 (glass shelves) or SHEN-4134340-04 (support arm). This door does not require any additional studs behind your finished walls so it is a great choice if you are unsure if your have the necessary studs behind your finished walls. Please enter the model numbers in the search field to view these models. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. Do you make a 32" x 48" double threshold shower base?

Asked by: egould
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. Unfortunately, we do not make a double threshold shower base in that size at this time. We do make 34" by 48" double threshold or 36" by 48" double threshold bases, however. They are each available with either a left or right drain location.
