The materials are of high quality and the glass is thick. I installed it on an acrylic tub enclosure. Take heed of the warning that there is no out of plumb wall adjustment

It came after several weeks which was fine and expected; however, the box was tattered and mostly open, and the installation paperwork was missing (can be downloaded online). We hired a glass company To install.

The reason for the 2 star rating is real simple. As others have stated, it showed up in a beat up package, lucky there was no damage! But here's the real reason, after unpacking the product and opening the installation instructions it stated in BIG RED LETTERS "This door must be installed by a professional." It is not a great price if I need to call out a professional shower door installer to put it up. That should have been stated in the product description. There were a couple of other smaller issues that I could have over come but calling a pro was a non-starter. Therefore, after waiting for over a month to receive the door, we were disappointed and had to return it. I fixed the packaging so nothing would happen to it in route. On the positive side, I must say the folks at Build.com were very helpful in the process they stayed with me through the whole ordeal.

In my small bathroom, I needed to optimize all the light I could and this bright and clear view shower door did it all. Also it is very easy to clean. Giving it top ranking for quality, price and looks. You will love this unit!

Hi. Is it possible to buy this double bypass sliding tub door, but with a longer top rail of 69-70”? Our bathroom is wider than typical, and we have a 9-10” tiled step between the back of our tub & the wall. Glass panel sizes and hardware can remain as is
Unfortunately, this model's absolute maximum width is 60" and it cannot be customized to fit any opening that is any wider than 60". All bypass sliding shower and tub doors by DreamLine (models where both pieces of glass slide) have an absolute maximum 60" width.

What is the difference between Essence bypass tub door and Sapphire tub door?
Thank you for your interest in DreamLine. The major difference in the models is that the Sapphire requires a 3" threshold for installation. The Sapphire also features SafeClose Bumpers in the wall profiles. The Sapphire is a redesign of the Essence, but both are of equal quality and performance.

What is the headroom for ESSENCE from the top of the bottom rail to the underside of the top track? How far down from the top of the glass doors is the underside of the top track? How high does the bottom rail stand proud of the threshold?

Is it recommended that the wall profile or the wall bracket be installed into studs?

The differences in the Essence and Essence-H appear mainly in the wall profiles, guide blocks, and threshold requirements. The Essence has a much less obvious wall profile while the Essence-H wall profile has a larger presence. The Essence has 3 guide blocks that will be installed to your threshold while the Essence-H only requires 1 guide block. The Essence requires a 2-3/4” minimum threshold width while the Essence-H requires a minimum 3-1/4” flat threshold space for the wall profiles and 2-3/4” of threshold space for the center guide block. Both models can accommodate up to ¼” for out of plumb conditions. Both models feature the same high quality tempered glass and hardware that is inherent in all DreamLine products.
