Enigma-XT Sliding Shower Door is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 127.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely stunning door I bought this door several weeks ago, good price and excellent delivery...fast ! This is a two person job for sure, glass is very heavy, the installation looks great, everything except caulk is included in kit. You definitely have to have 2.75 in. for installation. Seems like clearance between doors could have been designed with with less space ....and would then not require 2.75 in. The directions are excellent....only word of caution is follow the directions carefully during install because if you skip ahead and are not in correct order some pieces won't assemble properly and you will have extra work taking doors off and on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good sturdy door I have 2 of these, first one I purchased in 2010 and another one I purchased 2 weeks back. Both from Build.com. Delivery was quick and door arrived on pallet, packing was adequate and driver delivered it to my garage, please ensure that you have enough space to receive. Installation was not difficult and took couple of hours. The older door is in use for 4 + years and have held up very well and gliding is still smooth. Glass still looks new and chrome hardware has help up very well and door does not have any water stains or condensation. Attached picture is for the new install we did this week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I put the enigma x 2 wall shower door system in our fully remodeled master bath. The job was probably my biggest renovation challenge except our kitchen, and the DreamLine shower door system is one of the highlight features. It is very well made. A little intimidating and you must follow the instructions as others mention. Also, as the instructions say, make sure yours and floor are plumb and level. I think I read the instructions 10 times before starting, but it was worth it. Th hardware is top grade, and there are no short cuts, or cheap materials. I would buy this product again. I am not professional contractor but I am comfortable with most DIY.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great - fits nicely into my remodeled bathroom. This is an absolutely beautiful shower door. I had a certified Dreamline Installer do the work because my contractor was a little intimidated by the complexity of the instructions. One of my walls was slightly out of plumb but the installer adjusted accordingly and I am very happy with results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The nearly perfect frameless shower door I just had this door installed. I purchased the 48" sliding option. It was easier to install than expected. If you have your walls plumb and follow the instructions, you'll be fine. However the sliding door has about a 1/4" gap at the bottom and water splashes under it and across the splash block .... and onto the floor. I think this is easy to resolve with a bit of weatherstripping on the bottom of the door, but otherwise I love the quality and the look of the doors. The area where the doors overlap can be challenging to clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best shower doors Not only they look beautiful but functionality is the key here. Even the installer was amazed at how beautiful they look when he finished. Very modern but simple look for a classy new shower area. Make sure you check the doors really well upon delivery especially the corners. Highly recommend!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning This shower door is the perfect solution to a narrow bath where a swing out door is impractical It is well built, but installation is not for the amateur. Our contractor did a magnificent job, but he is skilled and careful. The assembly instructions are clear and well documented...all parts are clear y labeled. We chose a curbless profile and the Dreamworks door works perfectly...as long as the floor is leel and the shower pan is properly sloped. We went with Wedi products for the shower pan floor, niches and shower walls and they, in combination with the Deamline, were a perfect match.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Modern looking and EXCELLENT customer service Installed Enigma-X shower doors in my guest bathroom. The doors are sleek looking and glide very smoothly. More than a year later, a guest told us there is water sipping under the movable door. I sent photos and videos of the problem to Dreamline customer service, as requested. I was told my door is missing a couple of parts. Somehow my professional installer did not notice this when it is clearly stated in the provided manual. Dreamline sent me the missing parts free! This awesome customer service convinced me to do business with them again. I just ordered Dreamline Essence tub doors for my next bathroom renovation. Looking forward to another beautiful bathroom. Keep up the excellent customer service!

Will this fit a 43.75 inch opening?

Asked by: Al70
We do not recommend trimming the upper rail to fit an opening that is below the 44" minimum width specification. If you were to do this, your walk-in entry would be very narrow (15-3/4" wide in a 43-3/4" wide opening). I noticed your 68"-72" dreamline frameless shower doors come in 3 pieces with the sliding door in the middle. I currently have a 71" width dreamline frameless shower door but it's only 2 pieces of glass. Does this model exist anymore?

Asked by: No more tears
All of the sliding door models we offer in the 68-72" size range will have 3 pieces of glass. You may want to send us an email with a picture of your current shower door so we can confirm this for certain, but your current shower door product unfortunately does not match the description of any product that DreamLine has ever offered and it sounds like your shower door might actually be something that was custom-made. Our 68-72" sliding shower door models have always had a 3-panel configuration. If you would like our team to take a look at a picture of your current shower door, please email your photo to [email protected] and someone from our knowledgeable Support Team will be able to assist you further. Is it possible to install the sliding door outside of the fixed glass panel?

Asked by: TomP
This is not recommended because it will void the warranty and will also most likely cause a lot of leaking. Installing this model "inside-out" will also be less cosmetically appealing because the sides of the hardware facing out into your bathroom will have all of the hex-head fasteners showing. For best results and for the best experience, we recommend installing this the way the manual shows/instructs. Can this shower door be reinstalled to turn the opening to the other side? My installers put it in the wrong way.  Thank you

Asked by: Iffer
The Enigma-X is reversible for left or right wall installation. If you have to remove an already installed door, you will have some holes in the wall and in your threshold that may need to be filled and you will have to drill new holes to reverse the door. Please review all of these details with your contractor before uninstalling the door and flipping it to the opposite wall. What is the absolute max width the 68" - 72" Enigma X model can be installed in?  I realize the spec says 72", but I saw a customer review that said he installed it in a 73" opening with no problems which is what I want to do.

Asked by: Dhr111
The absolute maximum width for the 68" - 72" Enigma-X is 72". Right out of the box, the upper rail will fit exactly 72" and it would need to be trimmed to fit anything smaller. If someone said that they installed this product in a 73" opening, they would have modified the product which effectively voids the warranty entirely. It is also dangerous to try and stretch the tolerances of any DreamLine model. The glass is very heavy and has specific guidelines for safe and proper installation. We do not recommend attempting to do anything that would result in voiding the product warranty and potentially compromising the product's safety. Will this door work with a 64" opening?

Asked by: Ginas Design
Unfortunately, we do not have a stock Enigma-X product that will work in a 64" opening. The stock sizes are 44-48", 56-60", and 68-72". For a 64" opening, you would have to get a custom size made for you. To get a quote for custom glass, please go to your preferred local retailer that sells DreamLine and have a rep from the store email all your dimensions and specifications over to our Custom Glass Team to request a quote. Once they have the request, the Custom Glass Team will return a quote back to the retailer within 1-2 business days for you to consider. What is the difference between the enigma X and XO? thanks

Asked by: Jphilippe
The differences between Enigma-X and Enigma-XO are purely cosmetic. The Enigma-X has 2 rollers and a set of low-profile roller guards beneath each roller to keep the door glass from coming off the rail. The Enigma-XO uses a set of double rollers (one roller above the rail, one below the rail) for the same purpose of keeping the door glass from coming off the upper rail. Aside from that, in certain model sizes, the Enigma-XO has a few more hardware finish options available than the Enigma-X.
