Rated 5 out of 5 by AJ from Love it! The design is sleek and modern without feeling cold and sterile. The quality is great and the door slides smoothly. The brushed nickel color goes great with all of my fixtures. I will say just make sure that you know this can’t be glued down and needs to be drilled into your tub to stay upright. It’s too heavy otherwise so make note of this. My tub is cast iron and required a stronger drill bit to get into it. My contractor was a bit apprehensive about ruining the tub because of this but it worked out well. Speak to your hardware store for drill recommendations or someone with the knowledge to put this in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by cparkerart from Don't buy if you have cast iron I've been remodeling my bathroon and just put in a new cast iron tub. I purchased this glass door because I'm tall and wanted a frameless sliding glass door that I wouldn't hit my head on. Going through the instructions, it only offers instructions for installation over acrylic tubs or tile. So I called Dreamline's customer service to ask them what size holes and screws to use for installing over cast iron. They were very unhelpful, and said they dont recommend installing on cast iron. Refused to answer any questions. Would have been nice if they stated this on their product .

Rated 1 out of 5 by HomeShine Cleaning from Shower doors Not practical, from a cleaning perspective, not good at all, can only open one side of the doors, so have to get in tub wipe half with not water running, get out finish wiping out, cannot reach the faucet from the outside of the shower area. Also because of the seal have to take doors apart to clean the area between the doors, look nice but not practical.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike and Maria from Looks classy and was easy to install. My wife and I are 63 and we installed it in 2 hours. Most of that time was drilling holes into porcelain tile and porcelain steel tub. Yes you can drill through a porcelain steel tub to mount the bottom rail. Using duct tape a porcelain drill bit and a metal bit it was easy. This is our second door we bought from Dreamline. I’ve included a picture of the first shower door which has been up for four years and looks as good a it did when we first put it up. We have one more bathroom to up date and we’ll be using another Dreamline door.

I have only done a handful of shower door installs myself but I really liked the 3/8" give for my walls to be out of plum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nico from Love It. Wish it came with black hardware. Remodeled our bathroom several months ago. We have a walk-in shower that has a sloped ceiling on one side and needed shower doors that could accommodate the lower clearance. These fit perfectly and are still tall enough that water does not splash out the top, even for a 6’ person. These are easy to install, but do need two people. Looks great and functions perfectly. It is difficult to get in the small overlap to clean. However, we don’t have an issue with water getting into that space, so it doesn’t need much cleaning. We did have an issue where someone clearly drove a fork lift through the box of our order and shattered the doors, but build.com sent a replacement pretty quickly. Only negative for us is that there was not a black hardware option as that would have matched the rest of our bathroom hardware. We went with the brushed metal and you hardly notice it. Would highly recommend.

Can the Mirage X be installed on an acrylic kohler tub in a ceramic tiled alcove?
We cannot guarantee 100% that our products will be compatible with another manufacturer's products, but as long as your walls are solid, are at least as tall as the the tub door (58"), and you have true 90-degree angles where the tub sill meets the walls, you should be able to install the Mirage-X tub door. The installation manual will provide you with instructions for drilling into the acrylic tub to fasten the bottom rail.

What is SafeClose and SafeStop
SafeClose and SafeStop are DreamLine's patented systems for shower doors to safely close. These systems will feature some type of bumper (rubber), vinyl cushion, or something to receive the door as it closes into a channel. SafeStop can also be used to prevent the door from sliding open too far.

I'm looking for double sliding doors for the bathtub with a height that doesn't exceed 56.5". Width is around 56"

The wall height you mention is a very common height for a molded acrylic/fiberglass tub surround. If this is the type of opening you have, DreamLine products are not designed to install into that type of acrylic/fiberglass surround and none of the DreamLine products will work with that style of opening.
