If i would like to use on of your units and the size says 46 x 36 3/8 x 72 inches, does that mean that:
1. It should be 46 inches from wall to wall?
2. How can I determine how tall the buttress wall should be? Is it threshold height plus 72 less 34?

Great question, Syl D! All DreamLine products are sold to finished, tile-to-tile measurements only. We would recommend that you look at the technical drawing for the door you are interested in and build the space to those finished specifications. We strongly urge you to not order your shower door until the space is finished and you have accurate measurements. As well intentioned as your contractor may be, he may end up with finished dimensions that do not match what is needed for the door you chose. We invite you to contact our DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866-731-2244 to discuss this further. We can also be reached by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Our hours of operation are 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday and Saturday from 9am-5pm EST. Thank you for considering DreamLine!

What base would you recommend for this design?
Asked by: Deb Eb
Great question. Deb! Unfortunately, DreamLine does not make a base for this shower enclosure. Situations with a half wall require a special type of base, or a custom made base that integrates with the half wall. We recommend that you build your base and half walls first, then measure after your tile is installed. You are welcomed to take the technical drawing for this shower enclsoure to your contractor and have them build the enclosure to fit. We do not recommend ordering the door before your enclosure is built, however. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866-731-2244 or via email at email@example.com. We are available 8am to 7pm EST, Monday through Friday and Saturday from 9am to 5pm EST. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!
