i'm a contractor my client picked (shdr24233636)your specifications are for finished opening with that being said if my rough opening is 61 1/4 i'm figuring 1inch for sheet rock and 3/4 to 1 for tile - mortar i should be safe at 59-591/2 correct

Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. As you noted, the DreamLine Unidoor Plus shower enclosure that your client has picked out is sold to finished dimensions. We strongly recommend that customers order their shower enclosures only after they have actual finished, tile-to-tile dimensions. Ordering your shower enclosure before the opening is finished, often results in the incorrect size being ordered. In theory, this enclosure may work for you, but we cannot guarantee it. For instance, if the person setting the tile puts a little thicker layer of mortar that day, it can affect your finished measurements. In short, it is more difficult to build the surround to fit a shower enclosure than it is to order a shower enclosure to fit an opening. You are welcomed to take the technical drawing off of the web page for this Unidoor Plus Shower Enclosure. All of those measurements are finished dimensions. Hope this is helpful. If you have any other questions or would like to discuss this further, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. We are available 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm EST and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Can I get the walk in door wider than 22 inches?
Asked by: diy newbie
Great question! If you have a space that will accept a shower door larger than 23" wide, then the Unidoor Plus shower door that you have referenced is not going to fit your opening. We would recommend that you call DreamLine Customer Support with your finished enclosure measurements to determine what enclosure we have that will work for your space. If we do not have a product in our stock line, the DreamLine Custom Glass Group will be able to work with you and your retailer to size an enclosure perfect for your opening! DreamLine's Customer Support Team can be reached by phone at 866-731-2244 or by email at email@example.com to answer any other questions you may have. We are available M-F from 8am-7pm EST and Saturday from 9am-5pm EST. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine! We look forward to speaking with you soon!
