I can't find the rough-in and drain measurements for DLT-1132540 anywhere on any website. Where can I find them or can you send them to me?

Asked by: rjdc
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. If you click on the 32" by 54" size and then scroll down to the Technical Drawings icon at the bottom of the Description field, the technical drawing will come up with the drain location clearly noted. The Dreain is 15" by 27" off of the corner. Hope this is helpful. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. We are available 8am-7pm EST, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm EST and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. You may also send an email to support@dreamline.com. How do I know what doors are compatible with base DLT-1136480-22 ?

Asked by: don48
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. Any of DreamLine's 48" sliding door models will work with this kit. If you are interested in a hinged or pivoting shower door, we would recommend that you wait until your base and walls are installed, then take your finished measurements of the opening and order based on those measurements. Hinged or pivoting shower doors have less room to be adjusted for width than sliding shower doors. Hope this helps. How wide is the threshold? I would like to instal a sliding glass shower door and the one I'm considering requires a ledge of 2 1/2 inches.

Asked by: Steph
The threshold width is 2-3/4", so you should be just fine! If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866.731.2244. How thick should the mortar bed be before placing the shower on it? Is the ultimate goal for the mortar to be touching the bottom of the shower pan or just for the pvc rings to be embedded in the mortar? Need clearer instructions on this step.

Asked by: Ralph84
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The mortar you mix should be of a thick, pudding-like consistency. You will want to make it 3/4" thick around the perimeter of the standing area of the base, tapering down to 3/8" around the drain. The standing area of the base should be completely sitting in the mortar, giving it a very solid foundation once the mortar has cured. I am looking to replace my standard size bathtub with a unidoor shower enclosure. Which shower base works with E1302230-06 or E1233030-04?

Asked by: Violet
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. DreamLine recommends that the shower base be appx. 2" larger than the shower enclosure. For model #E1302230-06 you will need a 32" by 60" double threshold shower base. For model #E1233030-04 you will need a 61" by 32" double threshold shower base. The reason for this size difference is because bases are installed to the studs and your shower enclosure is installed to your finished walls. Unfortunately, DreamLine does not make bases in this size at this time. Most customers that purchase this enclosure either are using it for an existing shower base or have a shower base custom made. I recd 60 x 32 left hand shower base. What drain do you recommend???  Looking for stainless look. Tx

Asked by: Paul m
Thank you for your question. The drain that is needed is a 2" PVC Shower Drain that is readily available in your local plumbing supply store or the plumbing department of your local big box store. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please contact the DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866-731-2244 or via email at support@dreamline.com. I have heard that placing a thin plastic sheet over the mortar bed before setting the shower base can help if you need to reposition the shower base while installing. Do you see any problem with this method?

Asked by: Dottie
Thank you for your inquiry, Dottie! DreamLine does not recommend placing a thin plastic sheet over the mortar. The installation of the DreamLine SlimLine shower base is very straight forward and quite easy based on customer reviews. Customers that following the instructions outlined in the installation manual have the greatest success as these instructions are tried and true. In short, the plastic sheet is not needed nor recommended.
